Especially the sheild and base. Hoooo my god.

agreed.. wonder if worth getting just for the backpack booster.. huhuh

The base is great, but the sword and shield imo could be done better. I would prefer the sword to be like full-cloth crossbone, and the 'shield', is a cape for the left part only, more piratey...

not yet, not sure how also, done a few RG before but never done anything more than panel lining + decals

perhaps I should google see the effect of top coating with matte and clear and see which one to get

The effects of the top coat is huge. There is a pic show the difference between the top coat, but I forget where. Maybe u should look at painting guide thread.

perhaps I'll get one and spray on some parts to see first, checked out a few sites, and the result is apparently awesome. Hope I have enough time in the weekend for it

Remember when you spray top coat, don't spray to close to yhe kit, to prevent foggy to your kit.
Do more research before uou start experimenting.

for matte top coat, spray on sunny day, otherwise will end up with winter version

if you're in japan, look for 7-11 ver or ANA ver, those really hard to get over here
