From my knowledge, you won't find accessories for Nexus devices in physical shops (in KL/PJ; I searched for them too eventually gave up and bought online). Best you buy online/cod from garage sales.
I'm also looking for metal/aluminium bumpers like Sweet Armor but unfortunately only TPU and thin aluminium bumpers available which I don't really like.

It depends also if you're planning to root and flash custom roms/kernels. Some users been reporting their phone can last throughout the day on stock.
My phone can last for 8-9 hours (~9am-6pm) with data on (~25-30% by 6pm) with light(1-3hrs) music usage and SOT around 3-4 hours (root & flash)

Read it this morning before work and I have to disagree on Google's move. Not everyone wants a SD card slot for their devices but having one for extra storage just in case is not hurting anyone. Majority of Android users prefer the option of a SD slot.

Not sure. I've not use cm (or any rom from its source) since quite a while already. But I read elementalx thread, recently, saw a user posted that it's good on his Droidkang.

To go into bootloader mode, no need adb also can. Just turn off the phone and hold Power + Vol Up and Down (I think is up + down else try with power + down or power + up)
