AW15 pricing has been adjusted. Huge difference. Processor is no longer configurable and all removable software is now excluded as default, however the pricing remains 4999.

Verified with them earlier and the 4760 quotation is no longer available. Now it is drastically increase to 5999 for the same spec (i7-4710hq+970 without adobe & downloadable software).

In hindsight, I should not have hesitated.

I hsnt been follow notebook news much since I got the Y580 2 years back. Thinking of upgrading now so done some quick search and ended up with Acer V Nitro and Y50.. thn did a lil more diggin sum say shld wait for refershed Y50 with 960m or wait for more options wit 965m

I'm halfway readin this thread btw.. knew many already asked this same question so excuse me for asking again    cus I might've miss sum interestin points

- Should I upgrade now or wait, if my budget is under 3.5k
- Still deciding Acer or Lenovo tho .. the only thing I dun like bout the Y50 is the TN panel.. also I prefer FHD thn 4k.

i like playing game plugged in eventhough its full charged

by the way i read it's hard to open up the acer, so just wondering has anyone tried replacing the original 1tb hdd in it for a SSD alternative ? e.g. 512gb or 256gb ssd. Also does it have m.2 ? Or how can i check without opening myself

inside you can clearly see where the ssd is located.
but the model i got was only with 1tb hdd, not the version with ssd+1tb combo, so not sure about the hdd ports i got available, also whether it is possible to add in a ssd similar in the screenshots in the link i posted above.

Also i don't have a optical drive in the laptop, so not sure if adding a second hdd into the laptop is possible here.

my laptop i bought was Rm3700 GST inclusive. So this newer one is 3999 GST inclusive. And from your benchmark, it doesn't seem to be a big difference for me to want to shell out 300 ringgit more for it. Not to mention it also is only 2gb vram    If it was 4gb i would be more inclined, but not for the same 2gb vram for sure 
The 4gb vram 960 gtx cost rm 4599 inclusive of GST. definitely out of my budget 

Also i heard the Illegear Z5 which has roughly the same specs has said they will not add in GST price until middle of this year. So could be cheaper deal than Nitro in the Rm 4xxx bracket
