just sent in my Y500 notebook for half yearly routine maintenance at 1U IBM services center.

hopefully my notebook come back in piece, lol

anyone experience how is the services there ? hopefully as good as HP services center

Love the new design of the lenovo y50 and 40. Hope the new products will have better Gpu performance because of now maxwell has 2X performance per watt than Kepler. But will find out soon.

my fren just got his y410p single gt755m yesterday.. now he wonder. if he want buy 2nd gpu in the future.. is it gt750 version compatible with his gpu? or he have to buy gt755? how much it cost?

yes, possible because lenovo website has win7 drivers for y510p.

He should buy gt755m, cant use with different model, wont work. nod.gif price can check at garage sales if there is any. nod.gif

is the gpu only provided by lenovo? or there are diff gpu distributers just like the desktop gpu, we hav asus, msi, gigabyte etc....

Nope i didnt bother to buy the ultrabay as its quite expensive plus not all games support the SLI, not to mention the bugs, etc. nod.gif

Driver problems, micro-stuttering, etc, most importantly not all games support SLI and can run smoothly. nod.gif easy to say its not going to be smooth ride when ure on SLI. Many things to consider/tweak before u can play your games smoothly. nod.gif

but the lenovo shud hav optimized the sli model before launching in the market right? so do these problems stil exist among those sli models?
