received some accessories from AE last week by poslaju. Install most of them except the mud flap. Will post some photos after fully completed. Just check their web site and there are new items added - spoiler, under engine aluminium cover, boot cover, etc. Will get the PE boot cover next week.

i think manual electronic flip is good enough. Auto flip every time we lock the car will subject the side mirror to unnecessary extra wear and tear. I seldom flip the side mirror unless in tight parking space.

my xv is pulling to the left after few seconds on a straight road.. SA advised me to check the tyre pressure. sad.gif . Now only  230km mileage.  anyone experienced it b4? thanks.

small issue. Just inform your service consultant when you do your 1k service. Mine was the same and did the alignment FOC during 1k service (at JB SC).

Yeah dude, I do send my car for service etc. Thought they'd check whatever necessary according to schedule.
*
it all comes down to "interested party". Our service does not include tyres, so the SC ppl won't give a damn look coz they won't make any money from it. But if you happen to visit a tyre shop because of a punctured tyre etc., for sure they will inspect all the tyres for you enthusiastically and tell you happily that your tyres need to be replaced. laugh.gif

btw, bro hypercrazyd, how much you bought those bean bags? Looking for 2 too for my kids new room. thumbup.gif

Can bring kids. Just need to make sure must bring wife. After buy the bean bag ask wife to take teksi home with kids.

Then go home and kena belasah. smile.gif
*
lol.... really funny... laugh.gif anyway, the boot size of XV is really doh.gif . I think even my wife's petite Peugeot 207 has a much bigger boot.

But seriously, fold down the 6/10 of the back seats still not enough to fit 2 mid-size bean bags?

Even reverse camera will soon be a compulsory item on all US cars to minimize risk of knocking down children and elderly when reversing - accident do happen and this can be prevently easily by adding reverse sensors and camera. It is not that all of us need the reverse sensors/camera to help us to park properly but they are good secondary "eyes" at the back to prevent accident.

Leaving out the reverse sensors is really kinda cheapskate of MI.

Frankly speaking, the reverse camera caused my parking skill went bad.
always park my car senget. doh.gif
*
of course cannot rely on the camera to park your car centre coz it is mounted at the left side of the car, not centre. Like abundai, I only use it to park as close as possible to the back when reverse parking.
Initially i also try to make use of the new cam to do parking but give up after some time coz the side and rear view mirrors are still the easiest and fastest. thumbup.gif

One thing I don't get.. why people reverse park when there is enough space to go head in first? The only reason to reverse park only if the width of the road is very narrow and you need to turn very tightly into the car park in which then it makes sense to reverse in as you can turn tighter that way.

If you have a wide road, just drive nose first into the carpark and when you reverse out, you are reversing into a wide road. If you reverse park, you have to nego between 2 parked cars on the side which is more troublesome. Yeah, you can get out faster later but I don't see a use for that unless you are robbing a bank and need a quick get away. Hahahahaha...
*
Just a habit of doing the "harder" part first and enjoy the easy going out later. Actually i find that reverse park is easier than head straight in. biggrin.gif Seriously, the parking area i frequently go for dinner with my family has loads of traffic, so best to reverse park. Else, hard to reverse out later coz there is an never ending stream of cars passing by. rclxub.gif

If parking at shopping mall, normally i will park head in only if i am going for grocery shopping coz easier to load into the boot. Imho, it is safer to reverse park when you are going in a parking lot than coming out coz normally there will not be anyone standing there in the empty parking lot when you reversing in but if you are reversing out, there is higher chance there is someone walking pass the back of your car when you are reversing out. This is especially true at shopping mall where kids like to dash around. sweat.gif

From my observation, above 90% cars parked in Singapore shopping mall are reverse parked. Next time i shall take a photo and post here.

Pls check your car properly when collect from MI.
My cars Alignment was not done and a big scratch on door frame.
Looks like someone open the door and knock a wall.
*
car alignment can be rectified for free during 1k service FOC. Always need to check thoroughly the new car during delivery - dun rush, check it inside out. I will bring my "new car inspection checklist" with me whenever i collect a new car. biggrin.gif

You discover the scratch during the collection or after you drove it off from MI showroom? Tell you SA about it already?

Nice one! where can we get this ? I have some oily stain on my leather, but I use wet cloth to wipe but it didn't work :'(
*
dun use water to wipe the leather, it will crack the leather in the long run. Use only leather conditioner, cleaner, etc special for leather products. I am also using the Meguairs leather care on my XV but i bought in bulk bottle.

orange gonna be one stand out color .. most of the xv i see are either blue , black or white ...
*
yes, it is standout colour but i just afraid i will get bored with it as fast as i like it. tongue.gif So far bump into all the colour of XV around Johor Bahru except Orange (except that sexy Orange Crosstrek at the MI JB showroom). laugh.gif

Finally manage to find time to install the Mug Guard from AE myself on my XV. The effect is not much, can't really notice any difference coz the OEM mudguard are too small. sweat.gif

Problem is..its not consistent
Will check with HQ!

yes, my XV also have exactly the same issue. Told the mechanic during my 5k service but he said there is no problem as he checked the aircond vents, they are tightly closed all the time. rclxub.gif It happens only during hard acceleration. I think I will need to bring the mechanic on board and demo to him what is the issue like.

like bro joker98, it smell more like grease/other chemical burning rather than fuel.

Tell that to Merz or BMW.... they allow test drive and some of their cars cost even more than Subaru.

Your arguments is flawed.
*
it all goes down to costing. Once a car is used for test drive, the value will definitely drop drastically. The devaluation will have to be absorbed by someone.

Merz or BMW can do that because even though their car is more expensive than Subaru, they have a much much larger sales base and thus can spread the cost of the test unit over more sales unit. Moreover, their profit margin might also be higher which will have no issue absorbing the cost of test unit as marketing cost.

My OEM Kenwood HU went totally dead after i try to plug in a USB thumb drive this morning. sad.gif Tried pressing the power button for 1 minute to reset, nothing show up.

Later will ask my installer to double check. Anyone encounter faulty HU before on XV? Do I need to remove my amp before sending the HU for warranty? Will they say adding an amp void the warranty? unsure.gif

it has no build in SD Card, so USB port is the easiest and fastest way to update my music and movie list.

most likely will take the "opportunity" to change the HU. It is no bluetooth audio (A2DP), cannot stream Spotify from my Note 3. sleep.gif

there is memory card at back of the HUD to store Garmin maps. Yes no bluetooth audio but you can buy a 2.5mm male to male audio cable and connect your phone to the HUD Aux Input and play the songs from your phone, spotify or local. just switch the mode to Ipod/Aux.
*
unfortunately the SD card is useless for playing audio except only for storing the map. doh.gif

yes, i custom-made a long 3.5mm audio cable to connect to the back of the HU. The other end is at the centre console. But the Aux's sound output is really soft, so i put my portable AMP to boost up the sound output and it works great. The only problem is when there is notification to my phone, the AUX will be muted for a few seconds, kinda annoying.

On the other hand, the HU miraculously come back to life when i started my car at office heading back home in the evening - everything works flawlessly back again. thumbup.gif It was not responsive at all during my lunch hour. hmm.gif
