Just sent my XV for 20k service last Saturday at JB SC. The WRX STI display is no longer there, dun know grab by which lucky guy.

All 3 version of XV is on display and I notice the small square hole in the rear bumper of the Sports and Premium version has the red colour (reflector or another light?) like the overseas version. Is it a reflector or a fourth brake light or something else? Eager to fix it as adding a red colour thingy on the rear of my white bumper should be quite nice. biggrin.gif

Original RM480.00
OEM RM250.00

Thanks for the info. RM480 is a bit steep for a brake light. But i doubt i can get an OEM one at Johor Bahru. sad.gif

My white XV doesn't have that problem too, even though it is solid paint instead of metallic. Yours are what colour?

Did 20k servicing last 9 June, had her since last nov.  Sedate Hghway drive at less than 110kmh would return 8.8l/100km but floored the throttle, u would be getting bout 10l/100km.  Using shifter on the east west highway n tackling all the corners, u just need to experience it..
*
If using using Shell Vpower 97, can get 7.4-7.8L/100km for highway. 8.8L/100km is my average mileage for daily use.

Used BHP or Petron 97 until about 10k then switch to ron 95.. cant feel any difference in terms of fuel economy.. So far never had much luck with shell.. reading ranging from 8.4 to 10km/l.  My avg now is 9.4km/litre..
*
Tried BHP 97 too but found no difference in performance and mileage. But Shell 97 difference can really be felt and seen. biggrin.gif

To be honest, if interior equipment and car gadget are my top priority, i wouldn't purchase Subaru XV. First love sight on its outlook. After test drive, I told myself, no matter how I must die die get 1 for this . smile.gif
Beside this, when the time I decide to place booking, 2014 out of stock and I have put extra money to buy 2015 model... a bit disappointing but no choice...
*
yes, i also do not regret getting the XV coz it is the best car i ever own. but just want to voice out the "unpleasant" surprise that some features highlight in their web site is actually non existence, kinda false advertisement. rclxub.gif

Guys, had ordered my white XV with Subaru @ Giza Mall. However, came across with some reviews that rattling sounds and wind noises at driver side. Are those problems common? Can be fixed?
*
can't find rattling sound in my XV. But wind noise is noticeable when travelling more than 100km/h on highway. But I am not too bother about it coz i seldom drive on highway.

Yes, I know. Just check the letter again - it is TC Subaru S/B. There is a Tan Chong logo at the bottom of the letter. There is 1180 units in Malaysia kena recalled. Quite substantial I believe, the whole year sales figure. doh.gif

Actually , I personally went and enquirer their service advisor. It's really 1-2 car kena only like u mention before. But due to safety reason they recall all vehicle they sold . To be fair , it's really minor issue , they just put a foam to separate the gap or just tape it using special type of tape only, can be done less than 10 min. No a big issue like Volkswagen DSG or their current diesel gate issue in my opinion
*
oic, so you did yours? glad to know it is just few minutes job. Then I can just do it next time when I send the car for servicing.
