The current thin depth of our squad yet the fullback didn't perform. When benched ask for playing time.

Do Johnson and Cissokho knew the meaning of playing in the red shirt?

and what with Sterling early cross?

QUOTE
Ex-Liverpool star John Aldridge has claimed his former club rejected the chance to sign Seamus Coleman before he moved to Everton for 60,000 pounds in January 2009.

“If Rafael Benitez had been a little more open-minded during his final year as Liverpool manager, Seamus Coleman could be wearing a red shirt at Anfield last night and not a blue Everton jersey,” Aldridge wrote.

“Back in my days as Tranmere manager, Liverpool-born Paul Cook was one of the players in my squad and he went on to manage Sligo Rovers during a period when a young Coleman emerged through the ranks and started to make a name for himself in the League of Ireland.

“Paul knew this kid was top drawer and he rang some contacts at Liverpool and tried to encourage them to take a look at Coleman, but Benitez rejected his advances and said he wasn’t interested. What a mistake that proved to be.

“Everton stepped in with an offer of just 60,000 pounds to sign Coleman and he has now established himself, in my eyes at least, as the best full-back in the Premier League this season.

“Every time I see him, I can’t help but lament what might have been for Liverpool because at a time when my old club are crying out for a quality attacking full-backs, we only have to look across Stanley Park to see who could and should have been doing that job right now.”

To be honest, it's good to experiment new things but do it after you get two goals in. Or atleast you have a strong point in the table.

This year all top 6 is really close. One draw you might drop until 6 or 7 place.

It's really gungho

It's funny when you see fans hoping other teams to drop points everytime after we dropped points. All this won't be necessary if we didn't slipped up.

Fact of the matter is, other teams are building consistency now n we r not.

Good news is one competitor for fourth place is gone thanks to chelsea.
It is up to lfc to beat the crap out of everton and claim fourth.

I reckon it will be neck to neck between liverpool and spurs.

They resurrect Adebayor, the forgotten man. What a mistake by AVB not to play him... Sherwood did the right thing.

Anyway, news had it Lucas might be out of the season. doh.gif

Remember the team is building guys. And BR is not off the shelves experienced manager compared to wut we used to haf in the past. Important thing is move on and learn fr mistake.

Cliche yes. BR had the right intention last nite but it didt work well. I mean how wud he know dat if he didnt try it rite?

We r 11 points better than last season. Dats 3 wins and 2 draws better.if we haf won Hull n Soton, we wudve been on top now. Dat little difference

Totally agree.

We are still building and in transition. 4th place is pretty good placing in transition.
BR tried Stevie in DM...the game showed that its a very bad idea.

My only grouse withy BR on the game is : WHY didn't he change it earlier in the 1st half if it is not working?

If we had the goal against MancsC given, we would be up there. Sometimes, games are as such.

it seem we need lucas to cover DM. if he is injured. BR need to buy someone who has same or more capabilities as Lucas. Gerard cant do that job for time being.

what a waste of point. haihhhh.. good that Danny put his nme as scorer again.

The only BIG pressure on BR is IMO , Luis Suarez and 4th position.

The gap is widening between 3rd and 4th as we expected with MancsC , Chelski and Arsenal with the better squads.

If we do not get 4th CL place, we may see Luis leave.
THAT will put a bit of spanner in the works.
Plus we would find it hard again to attract big name MONKEY signings.
