Is it just me or the windows condensation is horrible. I mean every morning the mist on the windows is terrible. barely see anything most of the time.

Is there anyone of you guys mod the backseats in order to get a total flat out surface for model year 2013?

I saw someone did it, forgotten to ask her where can get it done.

from my experience as car owner, its mostly tear and wear item especially bushings:
1. Engine and gearbox mounting
2. Lower arm bush
3. Wheel bearings
4. Drive Shafts
5. Tie Rods
6. Absorbers
7. Warped disc brake if you experience juggling steering feedback upon hard brake

hope the above helps.

1. Engine and gearbox mounting - symptoms are vibrating engine upon car idle, which translate to shaky steering at still position
2. Lower arm bush - "ngok ngok" noise upon crossing bumps as your lower arms move upside down
3. Wheel bearings - hollow metal noise upon cruising above speed around 60kmh
4. Drive Shafts - shaky steering upon car picking up speed
5. Tie Rods - wobbly steering feel upon driving as the front tyre axle is off, causing the tyres not standing straight

the life cycle really depends on how the car is being drive.

hope above helps.

Hi.

I have a 1st generation vios with about 284,000km mileage.

Problem I am facing is whenever I accelerate, the engine jerks and feels loss of power.

Anyone had this problem before? What is the cause?

Also, any recommendation for a reputable and honest Toyota mechanic around PJ area?

Thanks so much

being priced at RM80k, the given build quality is really not on par, when compared to others in the same price tag. Even the bundled accessories is low spec for the entry models whereas others are much better.

then, there's this common issues:
1. knocking noise on lower arm and engine mounting
2. soft suspension setup that it would hit bump upon fetching 4 fellas including driver, total 5 pax
3. very bad cabin NVH

other than above, its still a reliable workhorse i guess.

My suggestion, take a look at City and Fiesta.

Ps. im not driving it anymore. smile.gif

engine jerks and loss of power upon acceleration?

try to take a look at ignition coil, spark plugs, and the plugs cable.
