I installed this thing in Cheras. Cost about 500 include installation.
- 5 years warranty instead of normally 1 year
- has one button besides the keyhole. So, easier to use. Just press the button to lock instead of putting in the key.

Is it necessary for a keyless and push-start car to install locktech? How does the locktech work with these kind of cars?

mine is a double-lock model...

there's this plug and play port which disable engine startUp when its locked. This means, its not just disable you to press the brake pedal but also engine startup.

You have to put the key when unlocking. Only when locking, no key is required.

the default design never never needs key to lock one right?

i just pull the lever for first lock, and its optional to press the second lock if necessary.

You have a valid point. Didn't think about this when install.

Maybe just to have extra security feeling?

as mentioned above, it locks the brake pedal function and disable engine startUp electonically.

even with PushStart function it still wont start.

The only way to start the car is by using the remote.
So, in order for someone to start and drive the car, the remote and the key to the above lock must be available.

Yes. But the thing is we deliberately chose the keyless model and yet, we have to use the key to unlock the lock. So what's the advantage keyless and push-start?

i think there is no key needed to lock the locktech, just pull the handle of the lock.
the key is for unlocking only.

Sh@rty 5
Is it usable for new vios with start/stop feature? thanks.

I would to correct my earlier post regarding the small button.

The button is for safety purpose. Without pressing this switch the lock wont lock itself, in case any accident or impact of the car, the lock wont lock itself.

And the one that I installed is made locally. It's key is anti duplicate.

I used it on the new Vios. The lock has cable that link to the Vios existing cabling.
