So, easier to use. Just press the button to lock instead of putting in the key. |

QUOTE(pobox @ Apr 7 2014, 12:25 PM) Sh@rty 5 mine is a double-lock model...Is it necessary for a keyless and push-start car to install locktech? How does the locktech work with these kind of cars? there's this plug and play port which disable engine startUp when its locked. This means, its not just disable you to press the brake pedal but also engine startup. |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Apr 7 2014, 01:20 PM) as mentioned above, it locks the brake pedal function and disable engine startUp electonically. even with PushStart function it still wont start. The only way to start the car is by using the remote. So, in order for someone to start and drive the car, the remote and the key to the above lock must be available. |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Apr 7 2014, 01:20 PM) as mentioned above, it locks the brake pedal function and disable engine startUp electonically. Yes. But the thing is we deliberately chose the keyless model and yet, we have to use the key to unlock the lock. So what's the advantage keyless and push-start?even with PushStart function it still wont start. |

QUOTE(tvcat @ Apr 7 2014, 02:16 PM) i think there is no key needed to lock the locktech, just pull the handle of the lock. I would to correct my earlier post regarding the small button. the key is for unlocking only. Sh@rty 5 Is it usable for new vios with start/stop feature? thanks. The button is for safety purpose. Without pressing this switch the lock wont lock itself, in case any accident or impact of the car, the lock wont lock itself. And the one that I installed is made locally. It's key is anti duplicate. I used it on the new Vios. The lock has cable that link to the Vios existing cabling. |
