Apple controls the pricing of their products most effectively. No matter where you buy Apple products, its almost the same price.

Earlier this year, we reported that the Japanese version of the Xperia Z1 Compact (Xperia Z1 f) was sourcing its displays from two different manufacturers: Japan Display Inc (JDI) and AU Optronics (AUO). The AUO panel appeared to be darker than the JDI panel and it also seemed to suffer slightly from viewing angles. However, contrast and colour reproduction on both panels were very good.
At the time, we questioned whether the Xperia Z1 Compact would also use two display manufacturers. Well it is probably no surprise to learn that the Xperia Z1 Compact does indeed use two different displays. A small poll on XDA shows that currently close to 60% have JDI panels and 40% AUO panels. It is worth noting that people are largely pleased with either display, although some complain of blue-ish tints. Xperia Z1 Compact using AUO panel  Xperia Z1 Compact using JDI panel  |
