QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Jan 7 2014, 11:55 AM) Wahhh ... so fast meh? Hate to admit but it's true tho. xperias only notable deal breaker is battery life, even the most recent flagship Z1 performs miserably in battery test (video & web browsing) compared to LGG2 eventho they both have the same juice. SOSAnyways, the killer for me will be the batter life reports. Yes it's a smaller battery, but it's also a smaller and lower density screen. So, kinda hard to predict. really hoping that z1 compact performs better than its big bro.. |

QUOTE(uzary @ Jan 7 2014, 02:40 PM) why not, knowing sony for years, their price always the main culprit of its product. also altho XZU is selling 1999, it only has 8mp camera, xz1compact got 20mp wit flash surely the price is less than z1 kan? so, looking both at XZ1 and XZ price in sony outlet currently at 2199 and 1999 respectively, and taking into account how much XZ now costs (1499), I'd say XZ1C price will probably at 1700-1900 range. whoa that's definitely a good deal for me! |

XZ1C battery test (stamina) ![]() "In stamina mode, Sony Xperia Z1 Compact lasted 41hours 31mins on average until battery exhaustion under conditions experienced by a typical smartphone user This performance represents a leading position for Sony Xperia Z1 Compact against leading competitor Premium Compact Smartphones. The closest leading competitor device was Apple iPhone 5C (29hrs 22mins on average)." SOS @+Newbie+ prediction/results already out This post has been edited by mitahi: Jan 8 2014, 03:51 PM |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 9 2014, 11:01 AM) Ios feels a tad slicker while there is still a bit of apparent lag in Androids. Ios apps are better and available in more variety. Anyway, up to you. Its your choice. +1. As an android fanboi, as much as i hate to admit it, i agree. iOs apps are definitely better than android apps in so many ways. and however advanced an android device may be, you can still feel the 'lag' every now and then. |

![]() QUOTE Sony Mobile has sent out an invite for its regional upcoming event that’s happening in Jakarta on the 5th of March. The invite didn’t reveal much but it is a possibility that Sony is launching its Xperia Z1 compact smart phone. Since this happens about a week after MWC 2014, the media event could be a South East Asian launch of its upcoming Sirius flagship, rumoured to be called as the Xperia Z2. For the upcoming MWC 2014, Sony is said to be having a global announcement on the 24th February where a new flagship and possibly a new entry level device could be revealed. We’ll find out soon enough in 3 weeks time. sos This post has been edited by mitahi: Feb 11 2014, 03:59 PM |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Feb 13 2014, 12:14 PM) Anyway, just confirmed from a reliable source in Sony Malaysia, the Xperia Z1 Compact will be launched here at the end of February or early March 2014. around 2k also? wat. so expensive. so disappointing Price is expected to be around the same price with the Xperia Z1 (around Rm2199 on Sony Malaysia's website). They mentioned the phones are at our shores already. Just awaiting launch date. |

QUOTE(kevin613 @ Feb 18 2014, 04:12 PM) RM2199 is SRP/RRP/MSRP (whatever u call it lah, see here) which is inclusive of the seller's margin. RM1989 is the price that the shop sells to u, by cutting down on their margin, to compete with other shops.. it'll be nice if msia could add on top of the existing pricing system, the MRP (maximum retail price) as implemented in india.. kan? |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Feb 20 2014, 12:08 PM) not that effective on all xperia devices, i.e. my current XV. last week i've updated it to 4.3 (in 4.2 XV doesn't have stamina mode) and after almost a week using it i hardly notice any improvements of battery life.. 1 full charge only lasts 5-6 hours |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Feb 20 2014, 02:00 PM) On stamina mode, the phone disables all data connection, wifi, 3g ,LTE, etc during standby mode so that you can save on battery usage. If you keep using your phone ie, facebook, gaming, texting, checking emails then it would not make a difference on battery usage even if stamina mode is on. Hope this clarifies how stamina mode works. |

Went to sony centre in the curve last night, had a chat with the sales manager over there and i asked about z1c.
He said the z1c will be available at Sony stores on April. Wtf so disappointed This post has been edited by mitahi: Mar 1 2014, 09:42 AM |
