a girl youtuber review, i find her observation more thorough than many review from popular website

I have watched it before but somehow I still find that text based review from android central is more throughout. You can check them out in their website, imo it is the best one so far I have seen...

yes they r both good at picking up little bugbears that nobody seems to notice.

she did pickup the dynamic contrast thingy, which the ever fluctuating contrast is always the first setting i disable on any new monitor i bought. seem can't disable on z1 compact, hopefully the effect won't be too much nuance.

she also able to demostrate with same situation and different setting, how to (and not to) replicate flash bleed issue, this did give me more confident on this phone. although i didn't use flash, phone flash too weak anyway.

regardless how many nuance reviewer picked up, i don't think have have a second chance anyway, since z1 compact is the only small & yet fast android cellphone in the world right now.

been stuck with few small lagdroid for years, patiently waiting for this as i will never accept a giant cellphone.

sony malaysia havent announce so untung abit ma.

Didnt see any updates on the website and in the store on the Z1 Compact yet so can't confirm on the price. Price should be around Rm2099 and Rm2199. Nevertheless, the TS who is selling at Rm2058 is asking for RM100 deposit to order the set from Sony. Meaning they dont have stock at hand now.

that's their normal practice. the sales person don't hold ready stocks. They will take the deposit, go warehouse somewhere take stock then COD.

Whereas the Xperia Z1’s battery life was slowly improved with successive software updates, the Z1 Compact offers epic longevity out of the box. Even without utilizing the “stamina mode” setting, which cuts down on background data consumption, we found the Compact to be among the most long-lasting Android handsets, even coming close to the battery performance of oversized phones like the HTC One Max and Galaxy Note 3.

In our first week with the phone we’ve generally finished a normal working day — mostly on Wifi — with around 50 percent charge remaining. Our first day of normal use hopping between Wifi and LTE, with mixed usage consisting of web browsing, messaging and social app usage, we got more than 16 hours out of the Z1 Compact before passing the 50 percent mark, with three hours of screen-on time.

And with extremely heavy use moving between LTE and HSPA, we got to the nine and a half hour mark with 20 percent remaining, and 3 hours 20 minutes screen-on time. With that kind of use in those conditions, most Android phones we’ve tested in the past year would’ve been well and truly dead.

On both occasions we didn’t make any use of “stamina mode” to extend the Z1 Compact’s battery life. Should you wish to, you’ll find switching it on makes the phone use almost no juice at all when the screen is off. There’s also a whitelist option to allow certain apps to connect in the background even while stamina mode is enabled.

With a week of use behind us, we feel confident saying battery life is one of the Z1 Compact’s greatest strengths. It might be small, but it packs enough power to get through even the most strenuous of use cases. In this area the Compact doesn’t just match the Xperia Z1 — it surpasses it.

Nono...u got me wrong. I know its their standard practice. The issue here is the phone really in Malaysian Markets already. How come Sony Malaysia didnt announce or reply our ROIs. Or is the phone advertised by TS are just grey imports/ parrellel imports?

For those who used Xperia before on Stamina Mode should know how good the battery usage is.
