You don't compare premium brands to lesser known brands. Sony products command such prices because they are considered "Premium". Just like comparing Japanese Car brands like Toyota and Honda to Hyundai, Kia or Chinese brands like Wingle etc. The Japanese brand cars will sell at a more premium price no matter what the specs are. Another good comparison would be Apple's IPhone. They have their own followers with a very high "Premium" price for their products. Just depends on whether you can afford to or willing to pay for "premium" products on the market.

Hopefully the Z1 Compact will be launched in middle of February. Its almost mid February now.
