I am a guy here, was searching thru acne solutions and found this thread. Does jinyee's regimen work for guys?

My condition is, both side of my face has acnes and sometimes big one will have pus. After its head popped out I will squeeze it but it will still leave scar.

Even if the acne is cured, new acnes will grow again... It never stop!

I am using some unknown brand introduced by my mum's friend, she said good but seems no effect.

if i use the BP, do I apply on my whole face (including areas without acne) or just on the acne? Thanks

have serious acne problem for years. tried antibiotics, tried expensive creams, so frustrated. but I think I finally found a solution


1) Get Sabun Taharah from shops selling muslim products, or any other soaps containing Tanah Liat. Got mine from PKNS complex shah alam

2) Buy PanOxyl AcneGel5 (5% Benzoyl Peroxide Gel) , for around RM12. I got mine from Jusco Pharmacy MidValley

3) and Nixoderm


Method
1) Use Sabun tanah liat to wash your face. leave the buih on your face for a minute or two.

2) Day Time, apply panoxyl to your acnes. It will cause dryness quickly

3) Nite time, repeat face wash, and apply Nixoderm to your acnes before sleep.

anyone using T3 pimple gel Plus ??? i would like to know what the different between T3 pimple gel and T3 gel+ , as i know T3 Pimple gel have TEA TREE OIL inside but T3 GEL+ got the sylicon acid

and normally after pick ur whitehead , do u apply T3 on it? or just clean with cloth and apply Toner + moisturizer? or any recommend way to apply on the pick's whitehead tq

Actually for acne is mainly because of pores clogging and too many oils in a short period of time. What i recommend is to wash face daily, then use moisturizer and put loose powder that does not clogged your pores and at the same time curing your acne. I've tried that with Mineralline . It really helps heal the skin from acne...

Do I use BP after I dab the essence or...is it the other way round?

acne caused from bacteria inside, causing oil to gush out from inside. nothing to do with outside, although if u touch it, it will aggravate it, it wont cause it though

Well, allow me to answer your bonus question. The regimen works for most of the people, but not all and I simple canot guarantee its effectiveness due to several individual reasons (i.e.sensitivity towards Benxoyl Peroxide and etc).

As I am aware of that most people got acne due to inappropriate usage of skincare products. It was supposed to help but it turns to be catastrophy.

The regimen promotes basic cleansing + over the counter treatment.

Please have a try as the products involved are within means.

I can't find panoxyl, now using benzac 2.5% every night before I sleep.
This is what I do:
morning wake up = Wash, moisturize only
evening (shower) = wash, moisturize
night before sleep = wash, moisturize + benzac 2.5%

The acnes dry up but new ones still keep popping up. Sometimes I sleep quite late (1-2am), is it the reason?

I only apply benzac on affected areas.

Based on your regime,
Is NMSPF good enough for sun protection, I worked as Salesman, everyday under the hotsun running around.

Recently grew 4 pimples on the side of my cheeks and forehead. Urghhhhhhhh!

I suspect it's my hair being the cause of it.

Any one try out aiken pure tea tree oil?

I intend to use your regime. I have normal to oily skin with acne.
But am thinking of using with Origins zero oil Deep pore cleanser at night. Meaning the Cetaphil cleanser morning and origins cleanser at night.

Plus origins out of trouble twice a week.

Having read thru 30 pages of ur thread, I think you might say put these aside and stick to the Cetaphil n bp regime, right?
Btw, I use Avene thermal spring water often. Is it okay to go with the regime as moisturizer instead?

Oxy 10 Might cause dryness
Cetaphil Cleanser available at Guardian for affordable price. Warning it is not suppose to foam! but it cleanses very well.

Also recommended in acne.org

BP should be applied on acne prone area, regardless the acne has healed or diminished as we want to prevent it from coming back.

If I were you, I will apply BP on the morning session as well, followed by moisturiser.


You see, the skin sometimes get upset with too much skincare products. Imagine those days where there weren't vitamin enriched skin products, the glycerin based cleanser served all the purpose.

The skin has its ability to rejuvenate by itself, well, as you have answered your question, why not lets the skin heal by its own. However, sighting the current environment where pollution is increasing, the diet, lifestyle and etc, the skin might somehow tend to lose its ability to regenerate.

By using Cetaphil and OTC BP shall provide a good platform for the skin to rejuvenate by itself and the outcome has been proven. I cannot guarantee the success as the result may differs from individual to another but the success rate was high thus far.

This is merely a sharing thread where there is no monetary involvement. I do not help Cetaphil to advertise nor I am the marketing staff for Panoxyl and Benzac.

the pimple on my face is not severe ( big with puss except before period). it grows more on my chin, cheek area near side burn. between eyebrows and eyebrows. i also have a lot of small small white heads on my forehead. my cheek tends to oil after few hours of washing but feels rather dry. Thank you

u should try anti blemish cream which u can get it in the blog .. it's good for scars and pimple .. i use that .. very good .. believe me .. really good ..

I've been following this thread for almost a week now and I am glad that i found this thread because it is really informative and it is facts. Congrats!

I am so eager to join the forum and would like some comments from you. Honestly, this is a long thread with more than 100 pages and I havent got the chance to read it all but I will.

I experienced the acne problem before but it's not very serious and normally it appears during my menstrual time.

But last 1 month, I received SK II products samples : Treatment Essence and Milk Moisturizer from my sister (she is an SKII users). So I tried it out. What happened is my skin became very oily (my skin type is combination type) and then comes the pimples on my nose area and my chin. The pimples are very big and I am really stressed. But for the first day today, there's no new pimples developed and I cross my fingers that the problem is consider solved. I am quite happy but still scared.

Now, I have stopped using that SKII products. I guess it's not for me. I havent change my skin product as per your advised regime yet.

I just need to clarify a few things first :

1. Does your regime only meant for acne problem only? If I have a combination skin type, can I follow your recommended regime?

2. If the pimples/acne problem solved by following your recommended regime, can I just stick with it?
