After using PanOxyl for months, my face has dramatically decreased number of acnes. Though every now and then I would have a pore on my face, but after a few days it disappear. I don't often face any breakouts! Thanks

QUOTE(dya_ungu @ Jul 10 2006, 11:19 AM) as u recommend me to use Liquid Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Formula (Fragrance-free) + Neutrogena Try Neem Vegicaps On-the-Spot Acne Treatment (For Acne Skin) i feel comfortable with it, hope this will be last solution for me :praying: and for medicine Tetracycline i try buy it from guardian, but they wont allowed me to buy without doctor recommendation letter Neem Vegicaps are effective in killing the bacteria, which is a cause for Acne. Some studies suggest that Neem is not only treat acne but be soothing for the inflammation. Neem is also good for the skin in general. cosmeticscounselor.com/lp/acne/ |

hi you all. would wanna ask for opinion about some concealer. what do you all use and recommend for concealers to cover blackheads and post acne marks? i am getting really confused with the endless list the market provides for now @_@ i am currently using the liquid foundation by silkygirl which is proving not to provide enough coverage ><
so id like to ask if you could recommend me what you use. as long it doesnt promote new blackheads, has good coverage and doesnt make me turn into a walking oil slick after a few hours.. thanks in advance |

I used to do Microdermabrasion and also dermaroller before. My scars improved slightly over 1 year of micro and 6 sessions of derma roller.
Next is that I am going to try laser... I am still researching on the right type of laser :-) anyone can advise? oh btw i came accross a nice promotion for microdermabrasion, 2 hour intensive micro with ultrasonic for only RM29. Very cheap oh. You may check out the promo here ---> http://mydeal.com.my/deals/kuala-lumpur/RM...nd-Beauty-House |

I used to use Benzac many years ago but found my skin really dry and I started breaking out more and more.
After reading your post, it all made sense. The Benzac (5%) was drying my skin and my skin was trying to produce more oil, hence I had more ugly break outs. Now, I wait at least 1 hour after I have applied Benzac to put on Neutrogena's moisturizer. It's been a week and it works mad perfect!! I'm currently using Cetaphil, Benzac (5%) and Neutrogena's moisturizer. My question is, can I use Benzac twice a day? Once in the morning and once at night? Is it too much? |

Hi!
Just wanted to ask. Is there any way to dilute Benzoyl Peroxide 5%? Its because I can't seem to find any Panoxyl or Benzac 2.5% in any local pharmacies... Thanks again. |

QUOTE(jinyee80 @ Jul 13 2006, 10:30 PM) Dan's regimen is majority suitable. He has been working hard to get those supplies for us as well. I have been to the website when I was in high school. how about oily skin?I would say that mild cleanser is already sufficient, and I would emphasize on mild cleanser that did not leave residue on the skin. Glycerin is a good recommendation for skin. Salicylic Acid, known as beta hydroxy acid is less irritating than Alpha Hydroxy Acid ( Fruit Acids ), it has the function of penetrating into the skin and remove impurities, preventing pores from clogging up. Nevertheless,I would not recommended to those who has sensitive skin. In addition, cleanser with active ingredient might has insufficient time to play their role because you don't wash your face for an hour, therefore, although there's active ingredients in the cleanser, purposely targeted to prevent acne, might just be washed and drained away. Salicylic Acid causes hyperpigmentation, which in Malaysia, equatorial, the sunlight is so strong and you will have to cover yourself with sunblock. The higher the SPF, the more potential will it clog up your pores. Talking about toner, besides keeping out of alcohol, you should also avoid toner with fragrance. Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner is free of alcohol but it has fragrance. Moreover, when you use the pH paper to test it, its too alkaline. Our skin should be a little bit acidic. Moisturizer, oil-free, non-comedogenic, dermatologist tested, all these words will sound convincing but bear in mind to look into the ingredients yourself. Normally, the ingredients that are stated initially and following represent their present from high to low in the product. Some people said oil-free, oil is not good but have you all heard of vaseline? Its good for skin, and the main ingredient is petrolatum, which is oil. Glycerin is also oil, but there's good and there's bad oil. Bare in mind! Synthetic oil tends to clog pores. my face is always keep on 'grow' oil on!! make me feel so trouble on it.. |

Jinyee,
since you are so knowledgeable about the skin care products as well as the science behind the dermatological facts, do you have any recommended book or websites where one could have a basic understanding on skin types, the sciences of various ingredients used in skincare, haircare, and healthcare products? =) would definitely look forward to learn from you. PS: i am trying your regimen, and really hope i could get the Cetaphile, NOTS at Guardian at Guardian , Fajar today=) |
