dear all....

i have some question regarding the personal income tax.....hope any tax expert can give some advice...

scenario :

i will inherit some prop & cash from parent and i know currently there is no inheritance tax ( from parent to child) in malaysia.

i am planning to give some portion about few hundred K back to my parent in the form of money. Eg transfer to their bank account.

my question, after my parent receive the money, will they be subject to personal income tax? can i consider this as parent inherit from child??

thanks for all advice...

You mean you inherit from Father and you give it back to your Mother ?
Paying money to your parents is not taxable....

For the RM3000 rebate for PC purchase thing, must I buy the PC from a vendor such as Dell/HP or can buy parts and assemble or the receipt must show as one unit and not individual parts?

Income Tax in general means income earned.

Money from children to parent or parent to children are not income under Section 4 of Income Tax Act 1967.

safer & faster, if you input your bank account to LHDN BE form...so they can bank in for you..

I'm aware of that option but there're some personal reasons behind of requesting a cheque.

Then is time for you to settle that problem and put the bank account in.
BNM may charge higher cheque's price next year.

LHDN jalankan arahan potongan gaji mulai 16 Jun

Mengikut rekod LHDN, sehingga 24 Mei lalu, dianggarkan 156,158 orang pembayar cukai individu akan menerima Arahan CP38 berkenaan melibatkan amaun tunggakan cukai berjumlah hampir RM418 juta.

Maklumat lanjut sila layari www.hasil.gov.my. - UTUSAN ONLINE
