Hi all,

What is the minimum gross salary which is taxable?
*
do you a copy of EA form from your boss , then go to IRB office to ask for a file number. confirmation must be in black n white from irb to avoid unnecessary penalty imposed by them

guys i noticed that you can pay taxes to lhdn by installment using maybank2u, cimbclicks etc, we can decide to choose the number of installments we wish to make ? 6 months, 1 year etc without any penalties ?

there will be a penalty imposed cos late payment for the balance

It's advisable for the one who is paying for more tax to file for full 100% children relief.

Alternately, both of you can file 50% each if I'm mistaken.

may i know "who is paying more tax" means wat?
1. who got more taxable income, or
2. who still need to pay tax / who need to pay more tax after all the tax relief and tax deduction?

if both husband and wife can get tax refund (got overpaid tax), then better gv who?

My reference to "who is paying more tax" is "who is earning more and paying more tax before any relief deduction" - higher taxable income

The purpose of the claiming eligible relief is to reduce your taxable income and that will translate to lower final tax paid (need to pay).

Not really, usually that "grace period" are extended to 3 months.
But that does not mean you can try your luck.
I think out of all the government departments that we will be dealing with, IRB is the only department that can slow talk to settle an issue whistling.gif

If not mistaken, you can't.
Last year I input wrongly(forgot to put in rm6000 EPF) and submitted online.
Have to submit hard copy which is quite tedious. But online still showing the mistake I made.

Best to declare all your income sources.... though Unit Trust usually "re-invest" the dividend.
