You can JB using IOS8 also. But better to do a clean install of 8.1 then only do the jailbreak. 8.1.1 is not released yet and is still in beta stage.

But if you want/plan to JB better do it before Apple releases 8.1.1 else once it is out you won't be able to JB.

I found out the hard way also. Was in panic mode for the duration of restoring the phone in dfu mode. After that everything was fine. To be safe, don't turn on passcode.

Btw, pangu jb app v1.2 is out with more fixes.

After reading about virtual home app I decided to JB my ip6+. Process was fast and easy n all my installed stuffs all remain intact. The virtual home app is indeed very good as now just slightly rest finger at home button can do so much stuffs. I do find the home button stiff n need some slight pressure to tap it down most of the time

I've set double-tap to bring up multi-tasking and tap and hold to turn off/lock the phone.

It will be nice though if I can wake the phone up with the Touch-ID too without having to press on the home button. Any known solution to this?

I think so far the JB works fine. Only waiting for the apps/tweaks to update. Other than that, the few tweaks/app that I've installed is working fine.

Hi,

After reading Benny take on Virtual Home, I proceed to JB using Pangu 1.2 but I forgot to turn off the Passcode Lock, JB failed and later I found out that I had an Exchange Mail that requires a profile so Passcode lock cannot be turn off. Not much time to delete the mail and disable the profile. So I just delete the pangunew apps that I think was use to deliver the payload. I will just defer the JB for now. Not sure if this will have any issue as I had not done a restore.

my is iphone 6+ , just jb few day back ...after updated the cydia UI tweak . . stuck in apple logo mad.gif . . .restore back yawn.gif ..now back to normal. Now wont jb anymore . . shocking.gif

as long as you install cydia substrate, just press the volume button when restart phone. it will bypass the bootloop
