Another Win for You(Fotile) 2 Win ; 0 Rinnai
*Fotile - Dec sale giving 10 years warranty for tempered glass

Why don't the Hob's manufacturer give a better warranty for the Glass top (10years) and burner (5years) as like Rinnai ?
Don't they back up their product? Better warranty can be a selling point for their product.

Do PM your Dec Sale price.
Thanks for the details review, especially on the customer service for their repair/replacement parts.

Repair, Replacement, and Availability of parts are important few years down the road and if anyone having difficulty in finding a solution for the particular brand then it's a big let down.
*
Yea and they conveniently "forgot" my appointment and request me to file the appointment again. So far with Fotile, from experience with the cooker hood service call out (twice, once for warranty and second for general cleaning of interior); was far smoother and better experience overall.

Also, Fotile parts seems to be easily available online as well.

Finally gave in. And get the 9009t. However, I just notice. The motor is placed slightly to the right of the hood. And I normally cook on the left. And notice the smoke from left cooker. Got abit escape from the left side of the hood.

Can anyone recommend a good and strong hood? I only have one kitchen (no separate wet and dry kitchen), hence need a hood with strong suction power to capture the smell and smoke.

thanks!

Is the height from hob to hood correct? Can't see the smoke, is the attachment correct, as it seems from the photo stove & hood is off.

the height of the hood is abit higher then recommended. i ask the installer to install abit higher.

you cant see the smoke because. the photo i taken i wasnt cooking at that time.

anyway. its just a small comment though. but still. the performance is very good. extract the smoke very effectively.

just that need to change my cooking style from left side to right side burner. hahah

hi, may i ask about the slanted hood.
apart from the removal filter and the oil collection cup, do you clean the part(behind the tempered glass) where the oil drip into the collection cup? or should i say the major cleaning?

recommended get professional to clean that. this is similar to air con, u can wash the filters, then may b buy some cleaners to spray the fins and blower, after many years air con not cold or wind not strong then nd professional to dismantle for deep clean.

same thing u can do all the basic cleaning with a degreaser til one day u feel not performing well then it is time for deep clean, i got mine cleaned after 6 years

Been doing some window shopping on hood and gas hobs.
came across Livinox and Midea when I was asking for Electrolux.
But after comparing, seems like Midea is not bad on specs and looks. Not sure how they would perform...

Still a chore to clean
I am thinking of stainless steel methods with cup

Downloaded Elba few model user manual but none mention about cleaning the mesh.

Hope you guys dont mind silly question haha. Future user of Livinox Mica here (yet to install)

What is the better power configuration for hood yeah?

1. Power socket directly behind the hood, covered by the hood box (not sure what it's called), ~6ft high. 24/7 powered/standby. To turn on/off the hood, switch on at the built in power buttons.

2. Power socket beside hood box, can see short length of wire coming out from hood to the socket. 24/7 powered/standby. To turn on/off the hood, switch on at the built in power buttons. can be switched off at socket if required.

3. Power socket covered behind hood box, linked with switch (~4-5ft high) within reach easily. To turn on hood, flip the switch and then turn on at built in power button (double job).

(1) looks cleaner, but 24/7 powered on.
(2) can be switched off if required and less wiring required than (3), but can see cable and plugtop
(3) No exposed wiring, can switch on/off easily but double task to turn on/off hood and more wiring job

Which configuration is normal/common/better yeah guys? Future first time hood user here. Appreciate your input, thanks in advance!
