actually many got deceived by suction power figures nowadays. Many brands suction power do not have a standard method of measuring. Robam in malaysia claim to have an Unrestricted Air Flow Rate: 2010m³/h

However, in china and also in user manual it only spec air flow : 19m /min or 1150 m3/h only. SO why the big difference? unrestrained air flow = no specific method used, so u can boast and spec as high as u wan. From what i know, CHINA adopts IEC standards in measuring suction power.

However, Robam SPEC unrestrained air flow as 2010m3/h, that is very HIGH almost double the actual performance.

fotile jqg9009t is the best for open concept, DC motor, very silent

Wanna ask if there is any performance difference between these designs? I'm going to renovate my kitchen to semi open and won't be installing door, so want to make sure that I get the right type/model to minimize chances of smoke/smell to escape into other part of the house. I see a lot going for fotile, any particular model i should be looking for?

How about difference of suction performance between the 2 designs say, between more current models? I took those pictures from fotile website without checking if they're outdated or not, so you can ignore that haha

since discontinued so better look at current model since the product is no longer available. FOr best performance is JQG9009T with DC motor, for more economical and yet high suction can get JQG9031 (DC motor)

So you're saying the slanted hood design is better than the conventional flat design?

not slanted hoods are better need to c their performance ans technology also. Like Chimney hood EMG9030 (chimney) confirm better than JQG9031 (slanted) but emg9030 too expensive, not many ppl willing to buy. So in general for open concept if choose fotile no1. will b JQG9009T and next JQG9031

budget wise can also consider livinox. actually auto clean might not work as how u think it would, may b 10- 15% and also mainly reduce oil at fan blade only n not toyally clean inside ya.

I wish to ask, for Aluminum Flexible Exhaust Air Vent Pipe Duct Ventilation that it arrived with Livinox Hood, originally it come with 7.5 inch diameter and 3M length. I wish to look for length of at least 4.5M , but most of the hardware shop is selling with 8 inch diameter. I wonder if there is any issue if we using slightly larger diameter?

u can buy from the livinox seller another 3m and join with aluminium tape
