Hi
I like the GCG90201 style, but at 900mm wide it's too big for my small kitchen. Is there a similar but smaller model?

QUOTE(ThengTurtle @ Apr 7 2021, 12:07 AM) Thanks bro. charcoal filter is rm 60-80+- not included, averagely 1 year once depending how often n oily your cooking is.1. Are you selling this product? If yes, may i know the pricing? 2. How much for the charcoal filter? For first time, i think included, 2nd time might need change ourselves. How frequent we need to change? 3. Any intro for non-recycle hood? |

There are hoods (recirculating type w/o the exhaust hose) and vented (need the hose to vent out the air).also btw got ke contractor who can help pasang the hood? how much usually they charge😅 I think his concern (besides hard to conceal) is that it is not easy to be able to support the hose/pipe as the fittings are not that common in MY..you can find end caps easily.. but fittings to hold up a flexi duct is a good question on availability. if you run long distance horizontally a 6" PVC pipe easier to support than a drooping flexi duct. Can either use that steel belt that look like a flattened bicycle chain, or rest it on cheap aircon bracket/any L/C brackets. |

Ya the hood is normal install to wall I think.. based on http://www.fotile.com.my/products/user_man...017_EMS9018.pdf last 2 pagesso just ask any contractor to do ke? usually how much they charge ah? it will mount to the wall by the metal plate like aircon IDU drill few wall plug holes mount the plate, drop in the hood on the wall plate the flexi exhaust hose not conceal je. but to mount this 6" a bit tricky to mount the hose u can either use steel belt https://shopee.com.my/3-4-inch-Steel-Band-w...7183.4812325430 PVC U clip https://shopee.com.my/PVC-Pipe-U-Clip-Grey-...8097.6657802044 stainless steel U clip https://shopee.com.my/SIMJU-Stainless-Steel...6369.7463239986 if support pipe aircon bracket also boleh https://shopee.com.my/Air-conditioner-Brack...5057.6946224672 U clip u need to find the one that can fit 150mm if using 6" pipe or hose, above example only 6" size usually hard to find the U clip fitting as mentioned above 6" PVC pipe (mount short flexi pipe to it from the hood) then flexihose to PVC pipe (use suitable pipe clamp) maybe easier for horizontal run coz just pakai 2 aircon bracket mount the pipe horizontally vent out. Flexihose need many supports if you wanna do horizontally as compared to pipe. Pipe u bring the flexihose along with the hose clamps to hardware store to buy easier.. so confirm fit.. maybe if need to adjust 5" pipe due to ID/OD issue also can do on the spot. But the rough idea is there lah. Anyone with a spirit level + rotary hammer (for concrete/RC wall) or hammer drill (if brickwall) can do.. not rocket science This post has been edited by ceo684: Apr 9 2021, 01:30 PM |

Hi sifus, Livinox Mica + Lotus 2B, or Fotile JQG9031+GHG78211 is a better paring for 3k budget? Or any other brands which is better than this.
The design of Mica is it better than Fotile because it doesn't have protruding mirror out? Between this 2, which is easier to clean? Also the price for the Fotile package is rm3K for both, with the extended warranty promotion during home fair, is this a good price? This post has been edited by kenloh7: Apr 10 2021, 11:28 AM |

QUOTE(PeinEVO @ Apr 10 2021, 12:16 PM) hahaha thanks2 for ur reply.. make me macam wanna do diy or atleast ask my inlaws to help plak with this... Yes, ideally exhaust ducting angle should be kept as vertical as possible since hot air rise up;just wondering... instead of betul2 horizontal piping what if i do it at an angle like 45' ke? would it be better? my logic was if got oil then the oil can flow back to the hood and hopefully into oil trap.. while hot fume can just "moves" better . the exhaust duct should vent to outside air directly. fixed (rigid) pipe give less resistance than the slinky flexihose so it is best to use fixed pipe wherever possible; avoid sharp bends that require the airflow to turn 90degree or anything you see in initial D movie coz it really slow down the airflow |
