would like to ask sifoo here: looking for a hob, and interested with induction cooker.

question: is it better than gas in terms of cost (electric vs gas purchase) and, if go with induction, should go full induction or induction + ceramic

thanks in advance notworthy.gif

Hi zheilwane, may I know what are the differences between these models:
1) JQG9009S
2) JQS9011
3) JQG9009T

Can please PM me the price, inclusive installation (remove old hood that comes with ducting) in PJ area? I find my current cooking hood not good for heavy cooking.

Thanks in advance!

Hi all, what would be the optimum height of the kitchen hood, and how to measure? Is it from
a) counter top to bottom of the hood, or
b) top of the gas stove to bottom of the hood

My hood is with surround suction plate.

Thanks sifu. The installer installed my hood about 740mm from countertop to hood (base), or 730mm from countertop to the surround plate.. so I guess it is within the range.
My old hood was installed at 700mm and I hit my head occasionally.

1) If I'm going to buy Teka Linea LDA-TC 90cm Chimney Hood. But i'm totally clueless regarding the ducting part. Scrolling this thread, there's 6" and 7" ducting, so which one should i buy for this hood model? Please advise.

2) is there any ductless range hood around rm700-1k price? Is ELBA EH-E9122ST ductless?

Hi dear friends, I need some recommendations for hob. I've been using Electrolux 90cm 3 burners hob for 5 years, problem is, the burners need to replace every two years, and one burner is rm200+. The technician told me that was the design faulty, better don't replace but buy the new model which the burner problem been solved by new design. I checked on shopee the new Electrolux hob is around rm1200, price is fine but I'm a bit of hesitate tbh. Anyone here also using the new Electrolux new model hob? How is it so far? I'm welcome if you recommend any affordable hob, measurement is 84cm*48cm. Asian cooking style but moderate, we are vegetarian no need super strong flames. Thank you in advance!

GHG newer model with instant ignition, 5kw super flame with 60% efficiency

GCG older model buy removable burner, extra wide design (90cm vs ghg 78cm), equal flame mid and outer ring

moderate suction = lesser noise
livinox gossan or lapis also ok

high suction = more noise

high suction with low noise = expensive smile.gif
