Hi guys. Newbie here, I got my persona sv yesterday. I've got some questions after driving for some times.

1. The passenger door seems like harder to close or open? is it normal?
2. It is an auto and i realised that driving uphill is a bit harder although it is 1.6. I feel like driving a myvi... sad.gif
3. Door at the driver seat is kinda funny, sometimes it can't b opened... sad.gif

Do i need to take it to sc now?

Guess you never read the details abt PE. PE although having 110 or is it 109 horsepower, at 1,.6cc is very heavy when compared with other 1.6cc cars. Don't compare with 1.6cc car with turbo lar.

The stronger horsepower (really stronger meh, coz city at 1.5cc can generate 110hp for old ones, 122hp for the new ones) was practically neutralized by the heavy weight (city weight 1 ton, PE 1.2 ton) and our outdated 4 gear auto transmission further seep the hp off until with got only 70++ on the wheel hp left. Old City have 90+ on the wheel hp due to less power loss due to CVT tranny.

ishh..... i really love persona's car design especially the front and the butt..... but the thing i really disappointing is the engine performance.... really slow respond....especially up hill =.=
Mine is manual by the way.... Gear one, GOOD , gear two....slow cry.gif ............( even i pijak sampai habis sweat.gif ) , but cornering really stable thumbup.gif compare to my old sedan iswara.

well...i understand car body size and weight is one of the reason... no choice but have to accept it as low price

You need Firestorm v12kompressor

Issit really that bad? I thought the manual should climb hills without any problem. Your old iswara climb faster?

hmm last time send to SC tune before. After tune ok abit but after a period problem back again.

I gonna remain pijak until the rpm up to 3k above only start can feel the climb power for Gear No2.

but wait the rpm up to 3k is really take long time.

macam the Kepong Jusco/AEON parking which need some climb. After swift from Gear 1 to Gear 2, gonna pijak lama lama ...

Gear one mostly i pijak around 3.5k/rpm only i swift to Gear 2, once i swift to Gear 2.... the problem comes.....

normal road drive i swift gear when reach 3k/rpm for economic fuel drive.

With its engine so called Campro, plus the heavy body, it feels like no power when uphill is pretty normal. I dont think its that bad though. DOnt compare this car with other which has turbo. Or powerful engine like honda.

The part which I enjoice the most is when cruising at speeds 80km/h to 120km/h. The stablility, comfortability, pretty good sound proof and handling.

QUOTE(Cavino @ Mar 20 2014, 09:07 AM)
If you really want to know what is the difference in 5W40 and 10W40, its the cold rating. 5W can be used in sub zero temperature without lube thickening badly in cold.

For our weather it really does not matter. 5W is usually only available with fully synthetic or possibly semi lube due to its enhanced synthetic content. Mineral lube usually 10W along with most semi.

the rating 30 is thinner than 40. 40 is thicker thus is more suitable for higher temp driving such as high speed highway run. Most new foreign cars (that includes Honda, Toyota, etc) usually goes for 30 as its engine tech are cool enough especially for City drive, more save fuel. Cars like minis usually recommend 40 due to its powerful engine that are more suitable for high speed drive. Don't know why campro engine goes for 40 instead of usual 30 (Preve goes for 30 by default), maybe due to conservative thinking and probably not sufficient cooling tech or maybe ini engine more suitable for mid-high rev speed running.

so, what u reckon bro 30/40 from ur experience @Cavino

that one, only can be based on experience bro because so far no ANCAP/EUROCAP rating..but i know a guy, in klang, his car claim total lost,
from the image can see the car smashed up, but his 7-months year old pregnant wife survive with minor scratches and he just got a broken arm.
don't whether it was luck or what, but glad he survived
