Hello everyone, newbie here just started fishing a week ago. Quick question anyone knows where can bank fish in tasik prima? Looking to catch myself a peacock bass, but the lake seems to be walled up ady.

Also a feedback on Taman U fishing pond:

The entry price is now 50 for 3 hours of fishing, fish can bring home one, or sell it back to owner. No luring, and cannot bring own bait, must use the bait they provide which is life shrimp. Most people use free line or float rigs, but I was fishing bottom with sinker. The bite rate is a little low, but still managed to land my first ever barramundi.

Planning to try freshwater pond this weekend, which one would you sifus suggest sek 24 or FishOn@BatuBata?

Also what baits should I be using or should I try casting?

I paid for 4 rods @ 3 hours, not a single bite.

Yes i know it depends on luck but that's 12 hours of fishing with no bites (bait and live prawn). Not gonna go back to tmn U anymore.

Wow that's unfortunate 4 rods and no fish? Maybe the fish just weren't feeling it at that time.

Did you go kolam atas or kolam bawah, cause I didn't know that they were operated separately until yesterday. Anyways I caught mine on kolam atas, I heard that there's apparently more fish released. I also tried kolam bawah the next day and after 4 hours of fishing with a friend of mine, we only managed to get 1 bite, but unfortunately the fish got away when I was right about to guide it into the landing net, I think my knot came off cause I set the drag too tight at the last minute.

I think I will stick to kolam atas and try my luck there again.

Atas...in my 3 hours there, i only counter other anglers caught only 5-6 barra

then went to the bawah pond 2 weeks later. paid for 2 rods and caught one. still better than atas.

quite some time back.







my next trip has been confirmed. i'll be heading to solomon islands area for 8d7n somewhere towards end of the year.
