Gutted we didn't managed to steal at least a point yesterday, although every player put in their shift yesterday, but the depth of squad is very much obvious to the eyes.
Prior to the match, the momentum was with Liverpool, with Suarez and Henderson hitting top form, even sacrificing their xmas celebrations to train for this match. No complains on the commitment and conviction by the players. Liverpool simply gave it all to win this match. On the other hand, sad to say it was just another regular day for Man Citeh players.
2-1 scoreline seems to be respectable scoreline in Etihad, many would have been proud with the result despite the loss, but I'm personally disappointed not to get a point here, these are the games that will make or break Liverpool's ambition to break into top 4 this season.
Again, we failed to wrestle at least a point from our top rivals, another failed attempt to beat a top side, Citeh just opened a 6 point gap on us, 3 pts won and we dropped 3 pts. Now we MUST win in Stamford Bridge to keep our hopes alive.
Sterling's botched attempt in front of the open goal mouth def ranks up there with Allen's miss.
So far, Liv is the only team manage to lead in Etihad and also loss at Etihad with single goal.
Prior before match, little has high hope on the match, due to Liv's poor away record + lack of clean sheet + scary Mancity home record.
So nearly snatch a point is considered not a bad result, but still a bit disappointed with 0 point, despite good effort put out by the players.
Still, my view, Mancity is the title contender team, Liv is still short of it.
Stay within top 4 is the target.
As said before, if want to beat top team, clean sheet is always one of important pre-requisite.
