Sterling has been phenomenal. This is a 19 year old winger so ask yourself when was the last time you saw a 19 year old Liverpool player absolutely murdering a leftback and banging in goals ? Spurs's Paulinjo, Capoue and Naughton took turns getting skinned by him and today it was no different.
Suarez is unstoppable. What a way to celebrate a new contract. Credit also to Henderson for his 2 assists. The lad has been a revelation since Stevie got crocked.
Martin Skrtel should change his name to Shrtel. We all know he has the nasty habit of grabbing the jerseys of opposing players and I felt Cardiff should have been awarded a penalty.
We hit the post 3 times today which is a shame. Wonder if McKay gets the axe
Watch the goal highlights, the first flick/cross from hendo is good, as for the back heel, its kinda normal. But the Sterling goal, it came from Hendo too, that kind of pass I can only always see from the like of Sneijder and Kaka, now that's impressive. Passing from the right side of the right leg, Sneijder always did that, and its exciting to watch.
Suarez could just finish off the 2nd goal, but he passed it to Sterling instead...

Definitely Suarez. Yes Hendo got himself 2 assists but those 2 assists still left Suarez with a lot to do and he struck both shots brilliantly.

So who is the man of the match?

With the next game at Man City, I'm worried for our defence especially how the Cardiff City goal was conceded. Rodgers need to improve his marking system in particular during set pieces.
I know I said I will be happy if we end 2013 with 37 points, but could I be greedy and ask for 1W 1D for next 2 games?

He is, he is. The way he turns his body and gets the ball away from the defender was just brilliant. His acceleration is frightening as well. To think that he's only 19-year-old, so so much potential in him. Can't believe that only weeks ago people are suggesting we should ship him off.

Funny
2 to 3 weeks ago some were slagging a no hope-er in Sterling...........19 years old in perspective.
Okay now i dont wanna watch the Ballon d'Or Gala anymore!
Son of a.... Bl00dy Persians are such pretenders. They are horny people and they talk as if they dont like watching those balls on her chest
Dont participate in world cup then because there will be Larissa Riquelme revealing her balls in front of tv camera as well. Well she got famous for that.

Is next year's World Cup finals held in Brazil or Tehran ? Bloody hell Iranians should just keep their mouths shut if they dunno anything about Brazilian culture
That's what Gerrard used to do week in week out. And good thing is I can see that coming from Hendo in his current form

Well I have been guilty for assuming that was Coutinho who did the back heel....
Good win yesterday. 1st half was superb. Really dynamic team as everyone was passing the ball superbly and it was sublime. Beautiful footie. Suarez's first goal was a great volley, 2nd was unselfish and 3rd was another great goal.
Too bad couldn't get a clean sheet though. Imo it was Kelly's fault as he didn't mark his area at the far side. Left Sakho to cover 2 men. Later on Kelly was at fault again as he didn't mark his area from a corner. Fortunately no goal came out from this. I think that Brendan put on Kelly to get him some minutes as Flanno was good. Might not do so again for MC i hope.
As for 2nd half performance, i think that we can all agree that we dropped a gear. Don't mind for this game though as we were already 3 up but we've seen this drop of performance in the 2nd half before. Hope that we did it this time on purpose to save energy or bagi muka to MM as Brendan's ol buddy
Really harsh fixtures next as MC and Chels away in space of 3 days. Brutal and not much time to recover. Because of this i don't favor us to win. Getting 2 or 3 points here is considered decent but we hopefully we'll get 4 or 6 . However as these are away games, they'll still have to come to Anfield for the 2nd half of the season and we can bag them at Anfield to counter this. The season is only half way through and the 2nd half of the season favors us.
City have won all their 8 home games so far. They haven't dropped a point in those 8 games they've scored 35 goals! That's an average of more than 4 goals per game. They have conceded only 5 times. To say it's a tough ask is an understatement. The boys will do well to walk away with an draw but a clean sheet looks impossible.
