QUOTE(sordanny @ Mar 24 2015, 01:53 PM) Wanna ask, is it a good time to buy the slightly outdated Macbook Pro Retina? If you buy from apple store in April, it will charge 6% GST. also, the MBP retina will only ship in mid April, means confirm kena GST Saw new model released with force touch trackpad but will ship in Apr and probably will kena GST..... Does the new force touch trackpad make a big difference?? Will it be worth to buy the old model just to avoid GST?? |

QUOTE(deric79k @ Mar 23 2015, 10:50 PM) this is the one I mention, This item good option if you dont need the Retina, as this is the only one that can upgrade ram, and HDD. the repairs are also cheaper, like the LCD for this model can repair for few hundred, but retina needs 1-2k to replace the LCD.http://store.apple.com/my-k12/buy-mac/macb.../A&step=config# I need advice on it , if worth to buy ,I will buy tomolo , really need laptop urgent Price-wise i can probably get it around Rm3400, so i think its a good deal |

I'm currently thinking of upgrading to Macbook Pro 15".
Currently using 13" Late 2012 Retina 256 Spec. How much you guys reckon I would need to top up? I want a bigger screen. |

QUOTE(babyk @ Mar 25 2015, 01:16 AM) Total of all the CSVs roughly 12 mil, but still looking good nonetheless. The previous Excel would've possibly balked at 45k rows. I'm using 2016 now. Thanks for trying it out. |

Any of you have experience with the turnaround time for Switch warranty repair?
I think one of my keyboard key is stuck or the cap is broken. Feels very wobbly when press on it. If I press it on a certain angle, it gets stuck... -.- Gonna bring my MBP to Switch tomoro and have it checked. What is the turnaround time if I were to leave my lappie there? |

Do you have soda water stain on the keyboard? or you accidentally spill soda water eg. Coke, Pepsi?I think one of my keyboard key is stuck or the cap is broken. Feels very wobbly when press on it. You can easily clean the keyboard by your own. |

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Mar 24 2015, 05:52 PM) Isn't the new trackpad is not for providing feedback, but instead it's pressure sensitive for its new feature? Sort like another kind of click or button, but it's touch based. the vibration feels real! Apple mentioned about having electromagnets vibrating when you click and i was expecting a noticeable artificial feedback but it felt as if it is still a mechanical trackpad(but its not). so far, the feedback will only 'vibrate' when you turn off tap to select, when u press mid-range hard, the feedback gets stronger as you apply more touch to it. my only issue with it so far is that when you tap and drag to select multiple items, it sometimes detect too much force and start previewing the file. |

You mean I have to disable the "Tap to Click" in order to feed the feedback? I have been using this tap to click feature since then and wonder how to adapt to the new feature In anyway, there's a threshold where you can set the "sensitivity" of the force. |

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Mar 25 2015, 11:30 PM) You mean I have to disable the "Tap to Click" in order to feed the feedback? disabling tap to click means u have to actually click to click and if you recall from the traditional trackpads, when u click it, u feel the trackpad clicking giving u that feedback. with the new force trackpad, if u disable tap to click, u will feel the feedback when u click. I have been using this tap to click feature since then and wonder how to adapt to the new feature In anyway, there's a threshold where you can set the "sensitivity" of the force. you will still feel the feedback when clicking(instead of gentle tapping) the trackpad. honestly, it won't need much adaptation. which is what impressed me the most. |
