Hi Guys,

Just got my Macbook Pro Retina 15" 2.2Ghz model from Epicenter. Had to buy from the shop instead of using the education store as wanted to use the 0% interest instalment from Maybank.

Should i buy those hard case shells made Speck or Moshi to protect it from scratches? Let me know your thoughts. thx
*
in my opinion, its better to get a sleeve and let it be naked when you use it.
the sleeve is just for use when you're moving it around in the bag or so on

i don't use any shell for my MBP since it's not something that i carry with me and throw around all the time, unlike a phone.

any scratches will just make it look more seasoned hehe.

Yeah. Good point. I on the other hand do carry mine around but having to be so gentle with it to avoid those minor starches is getting tiring. I'll likely go with the Moshi Iglaze rather than the Speck after seeing comparison reviews on Youtube. Petty Moshi seems to be double the price of Speck (Mac Studio selling for RM199 while lowyat forumer selling Specks for only RM99 :-(

check macrumors buying guide, think Apple just recently had an update to MBP in mid 2014 so prolly not so soon.

If the new one indeed gives so much performance boost then better wait since for me the UI can lag sometimes.

I am keen on not using any casing for my mbp, but seeing how the outer part had become little bit black, I think I need to look for a sleeve or casing at least. sigh
