Hi guys,

I am a total newbie at home entertainment, so advice is greatly appreciated!

What is the best value TV for RM800? Do digital TV need an antenna and/or internet? I.e. Can it run without antenna and/or internet?

Thanks!

dude u might to start a thread or view other existing thread for tv specific comparison. This thread is more to audio oriented.
digital tuner tv needs an antenna. Without antenna u cannot watch digital channel (8tv, Tv3, RTM1, RTM2)
smart tv needs internet with smart tv it allows u to access to apps like youtube/netflix/iflix etc etc

i will prefer cmy or style laser. They are more HT/Hifi focused.
Since u already narrowed down to X250BT, they to get some demo over Jamo vs Mission see which once you prefer more. Both brands are reputable. Good for a HT starter.

Mission VX-3 is sealed box using passive radiators and single 5" driver, so you're fully rely on the subwoofer to do its job for mid to sub-bass region. Unfortunately I think Mission MS 10 also not dive deep into the sub-bass region, so you might want to get better subwoofer such as SVS.

You can also consider secondhand hifi shop (under CMY), they're selling new old stock as well. Mission MV package looks ok especially with front speaker Mission MV-8, then you can get SVS subwoofer to compliment the sub-bass.

edit: CMY selling this package too:

Nice! But why not the rp500sa? Anyway how well or apparent are the front heights for you in atmos movies?

Are they mounted on the wall parallel to the rp600m?

Still confused as to which elevation speakers to get and how to mount them personally... But may get the svs prime elevation and mount them at a top middle sort of config for now, and only get another two for the rear heights once the receiver is upgraded.

Yes, almost parallel to 600m, honest speaking atmos speaker still advisable to use ceiling speaker ....pls try the demo at show room then you will know the difference

Am one of those from the "impossible to mount on ceiling" gang so only height would work.

Even for this wiring is gonna be a mess hence why am still thinking, for the first two, just where are they gonna be mounted... Decisions, decisions...
