PS3. Definately. Thinking bout the next generation Winning Eleven, Metal Gear Solid 4 etc just makes me come in my pants!

Anyone got a rough idea of the pricing? The price in UK has been confirmed at 425UKP which if directly exchanged into MYR would cost about 3000+. Sounds f***ing nuts to me!

PS3 for Monster Hunter 3.

Wii for mario, zelda, resident evil, super monkey ball and alot of fun

wii is cheaper... and currently lots of ps3 game dev are having problem wif ps3 coz if its high expenses on the dev tool ... forget some jap gaming magazine stated it

Winning Eleven & GTA, the 'used to be' playstation time exclusive game, will be release simultaneously on both ps3 & xb360.

Yeah true..which is why I am also considering the Xbox 360..but then when you look at the Xbox 360's premium edition..still need to add a lot of things like wifi and etc. I dunno..there are others like FFXII

i hope these multi platform games do make full use of the system's strengths..

Argh...Cannot decide!! Ok right now I am interested in buying the DS Lite to play Mario. However, I am also interested in buying the PS3. But then I just found out that Xbox 360 will also have Winning Eleven and it's so much cheaper..and then well..the Wii looks really cool. Gimme some advice..on what should buy and what should just leave out?

Xbox360 has a huge advantage for us Malaysians as its games are pretty cheap as they are priced for the Singapore market. Whereas for PS3 or Wii, we'll be paying the same amount that Americans and Japanese people pay, which can easily be anywhere around RM220 to RM300

Between PS3 and Wii, I'll definitely go for the Wii, because:

1) Cheap price. It's not gonna cost more than US$250 at launch, so we should be able to get it here around RM1500 or less. Excellent deal for a launch system considering what we saw when PS2, 360 and PSP were all released.

2) Games. At the moment, the launch lineup for the Wii is just too good. Zelda at launch? With Super Monkey Ball? And Smash Bros not too far off?? I'm there

I say this thread is a little unfair, because you did not list 360 as well. ( I assume you didn't because it has already launched or available )

But seriously, turn off the fanboyism.. They're both in different worlds.

You want something innovative and new? Get Wii.

You wants great graphics + Blu ray : PS3.

Being a Wii60 fanboy, I have to say, the PS3 MIGHT come out good if Blu Ray works out. The only reason why I'm saying this.. it's because Blu-Ray players now cost at least close to USD1000. And the PS3 costs USD600. (I have lack of information on Blu-Ray cuz I don't care much)

Why pay USD1k when you can do more with USD600?

I tip my hat to Sony for taking risks. They may be confident in their 'loyal' userbase, but it MIGHT fail as UMD did.

Because most probably the PS3 will suck at movie playback? Honestly, that question is akin to asking 'why pay rm2000 for a CD player when a rm200 china dvd player will do CDs AND DVDs plus mp3.'
