I say this thread is a little unfair, because you did not list 360 as well. ( I assume you didn't because it has already launched or available )

But seriously, turn off the fanboyism.. They're both in different worlds.

You want something innovative and new? Get Wii.

You wants great graphics + Blu ray : PS3.

Being a Wii60 fanboy, I have to say, the PS3 MIGHT come out good if Blu Ray works out. The only reason why I'm saying this.. it's because Blu-Ray players now cost at least close to USD1000. And the PS3 costs USD600. (I have lack of information on Blu-Ray cuz I don't care much)

Why pay USD1k when you can do more with USD600?

I tip my hat to Sony for taking risks. They may be confident in their 'loyal' userbase, but it MIGHT fail as UMD did.

Again, seriously: I'm a gamer. Support games, not console. So.. it's

Wii .. 360.. then PS3 if I had the cash to blow.

Good luck to next gen.

Well, I've always told myself(and others) that, price comes with quality. (but not everything la laugh.gif)

Seems that Blu-Ray wants to specialize on movie playback(?) and storage, I do not know why you say it sucks. Please elaborate.

Remember, I'm no PS3 fan, nor do I know much about it's feature functionalities, like HMDI(wtf?) and their play-back qualities.

Wow, another 'kiddie' Wii/Nintendo comment.

Zelda?
Red Steel?
Call of Duty 3?
Exclusive Resident Evil?

Hm.. Gosh, you're right! That is kidday!!

games worth mentoning would be zelda, metroid, mario. i dont really see anything else, but maybe still early to conclude. any fighting games coming out? wonder hows it like to perform a special move with the remote, or maybe execute a tekken 10-hit combo? or maybe cant at all, must use the regular controller.

red steel - no doubt the fighitng is unique, heck i would love to try it, but how long do u think someone can play with all that swinging? i guess the attacks with be "limited".
call of duty - i always love fps on PC, no matter how good it can be on console, it never beats playing it on PC.
RE - havent really announce also, or maybe i miss it somewhere.

buy anyway, still hard to say much, must wait until all 3 launched and people can get first-hand experience.

The devs know for a FACT that swinging too much will INDEED tire you out. That's why they took it out from Zelda and just stuck with press 'B' for slashing.

And no-one is gonna swing like mad as in, basebat bat/tennis gesture? Rest your arms on your laps, and SWAY your wrist. The Wiimote is a very sensitive control device. Unlike shaking vigorously on the House of the Dead 4 Uzi. Just go see how simple it is over the E3 videos. (and please, take a look at the Red Steel trailer, High Quality if you can)

Fighting games? They didn't come out with the traditional controller for traditional games for nothing. Besides, why play a 2d fighting game on Wii when you're looking forward to new control scheme which can never be found on other consoles? (traditional games vs. new control scheme games)

FPS's never too good for consoles? But we're comparing (traditional)controller vs. motion based now aren't we? Besides, Metroid Hunters does a very good job emulating the feels of a mouse on a TOUCH-SCREEN. Even better than an analog nub, it's smooth, it's accurate, and there's much sensitivity to controls.

You're pretty much right about 'limited' attacks in Red Steel, because Ubisoft doesn't want to include 'freestyle' sword swinging. And there's alot of things you'll have to put into consideration: Like how if you slice from above and the enemy parrys, what exactly happens when you swing all the way down? The Wiimote doesn't actually STOPS you from continously moving right? etc. etc. etc. Red Steel devs has a blog in IGN.

You want freestyle swordswinging? Let's wait till George Lucas brings us Star Wars.. *cough Exclusive cough*
