But if given choices again, I wouldn't want to drive/own Exora either.. will still choose Alza  tongue.gif

just received my Alza. Good SA promised before CNY and did deliver before CNY.

Definitely a positive upgrade from my Saga BLM ( quieter, safer, more power).

Congrats !!! I do agree to you. I had a tour with my friend's car, saga BLM 1.6 FLX... I can't believed that it cost 50k for such a low quality. I would say Alza has much better value here.

I got the red color smile.gif since it's a new color hehe.

Its wonderful so far. love the quietness of the cabin, the nice comfortable ride. The seating height is good too - easy to see the road.

i know some of you may feel 'what? it's noisy bah" but bear in mind my previous ride was a lowered saga blm with 15 inch 195/55 tyres tongue.gif

and most importantly, baby approves. He sleeps soundly in the alza, compared to being bumped awake in the saga hehe

How is the seat the back...? Is it possible for adult? Or only children?

Do you choose se? Or ad? Or normal..I dunno which to choose... buying from the dealer is better or go straight to perodua?

u mean the 3rd row? it's quite comfortable ( for a 5'5 adult). My MIL was happily sitting at the back.

i chose the SE over the Advanced for a variety of reasons:
1. i guess most ppl would go for top line, which means higher demand/lower supply. So in choosing the SE, i have a chance to get car faster
2. didn't like leather seats( my bro has the kelisa imago with leather seats). they get hot and sticky. So i preferred the normal fabric seats
3. didnt see a need for GPS navigation ( i have my own GPS) and reverse camera. I find touch screen interfaces in vehicles to be distracting - i prefer to accurately know where and what each button does.
Also, the reverse camera is positioned quite prominently on the back of the car. Ppl can just stick a gum or break it off easily i think.
4. price difference - 59k vs 64k. With that price idfference i can upgrade my HU +speakers+sub if i finally intend to have a better sound system.

I actually went straight to perodua at Jalan Universiti. I think it's easier too as they manage/arrange everything end to end for me ( including my trade in). If u want a SA contact i'd be happy to share my SA contact with you.

1.6 FLX considered upgraded lo. Mine is the first release BLM - green color one. 37k at that time. dont have CVT, dont have alloy rims , dont have soundproofing, don't have side signals, dont have light in boot, dont have reverse sensor, dont have front door speaker, dont have ABS/EBD dont have airbag .. ( you see a trend of a lot of "don't have's" ) tongue.gif

but good for a first run about vehicle. Got 4 wheels and gets you from point a to point b.

Hi,

You took SE Red color. Leather seats would not have much 'dust' compared to the fabric. Yes it is cooler with fabric, but with good tint, leather shld not be a prob.

Need to keep clean if using fabric. even vacumm most time, but dust can just sip in... every slap to the seats will fly dust around.
Now I wrapped the seats with coolmax fabric cover. :>

it already comes with llumar security tint. so if you put /replace the tint, you lost that warranty as well.

Anyway, leather to me is more high maintenance as well.. need to treat it, etc etc.after a while, will stretch/sag.

With fabric, if worst come to worst, just put on another coolmax cover tongue.gif

altogether i waited approx two weeks ( 13 jan went to see SA, 29 jan got car). But then, mine is SE so waiting period may be shorter. The 3+2 is that 3 years is standard, but you have a choice to extend 2 years for some fee.

Yeah. Just spoke to SA yesterday about the EWP. Extended warranty program. Pay RM 268 for two year extended warranty. I think worth it. The condition is the purchase an be done within six months after car register and must service at perodua service centre throughout the warranty period.

Hi, just to add... Samyck is right. the EWP needs one requirement is must service at perodua service centre all the way for 5 years, must follow the schedule.

I previously been offered too with this EWP but did not take it as I want to have my own service at cheaper cost and don't want to be tied down for 5 years.

I heard from a VW customer that he complain on the EWP which is so-called insured using insurance. the process is so lenghty for a claim.. just like claiming for an accident. The VW took him more than a month.

My personal thought is why 2 years? why not add 5 years.. what is covered in the EWP and what is not. Best to get clear understanding before purchasing.

Again, the choice is open.. this is just my choice. :>

Hi all. I'm new here smile.gif

I've booked my 2014 Alza SE on 18/01/2014 and loan approved by bank right before CNY.

I was informed by the SA while booking that I wil only get my car in 1-2 months time as there are many bookings since Dec 2013 (to me that is understable larr). And after that the Govt didn't approve the new pricing even though the car has been launched (dunno what took them so long...finally got approval somewhere on 25th Jan).

Just out of curiosity, I called today to find out roughly when can I get my car. And guess what I was told...

There's some prob with JPJ's system causing new Alzas can't be registered. Apparently the Alza's CC is 1495 but the JPJ system states 1500. And I was told all the new Alzas are pending to be registered...

And I read many new Alza owners-to-be posted on MYPerodua Facebook scolding P2 kaw kaw for the much delay. So I suppose I'm not the only victim here??

Anyone facing the same issue?? @.@

not for me as stated few replies above. Actually, i also never heard about govt not approving pricing, as during the launch at 1U they already show me the pricing ( even got the loan calculation /interest rate already). They even mentioned that there are 5000 vehicles set aside for those who booked early ( i.e. by the launch).

Engine capacity for New Alza shouldn't cause issues in JPJ.. as it's the same as old Alza. I think its more to do with JPJ system cannot cope ( even their own website the latest vehicle info has been down since i think Nov 2013?).

Personal experience, i saw roadshow at 1U on 10 Jan. SA show me price list, loan rate, etc etc. Went to P2 showroom on 13 Jan. Brought my car for trade in evaluation. Talked a bit more with SA on loan options, etc.
15 Jan, confirmed model/color with SA. Went to fill in booking forms, and loan forms.
16 Jan, Maybank officer precall about loan.
22 Jan, informed loan approved
24 Jan, went to P2 showroom to sign loan forms, purchase forms etc. At this point, there was already a unit allocated to me, even got chassis number already. There was some issue with my trade in, so i had to take a day or two to sort that part out.
28 Jan, sorted out my trade in. SA informed that registration awaiting JPJ.
29 Jan, SA called, vehicle ready to collect at approx 6pm.
