brake cleaner? some sort like brake flush? 1st time i heard brake cleaner. Yes, agree that draining the fluid will not warrant a 100% clean fluid, but i don't think the fluid was so dirty after 40k km.

recommend to change the ATF per recommendation, if ATF went bad, there goes your gearbox. Not that pricey after all aint it? At least cheaper compare to Proton ATF.

i've done a trip down to KL (from PG) during raya, the FC was decent with 8.0L/100km in mixed driving (highway + traffic) with six pax and loaded with goods.

Fellas, just in case you might not aware, if you sending your alza to outside mechanic, make sure they give you the right ATF.

Alza uses D3-SP (which is a Dexron 3 - "sepcial product", guess some special formulated to suit to the GB), using type 4 ATF from toyota might cost you your GB (which some mechanics gonna tell you,, alza use the same GB as toyota hence toyota ATF will do good to your alza).

i believe so, everytime they just pour out a jar of ATF from the spare part room and pour into the GB, i din see they use the bottle before. Maybe i can try to buy a bottle from them someday.

no worries. it's the sound of metal contraction, normal for new cars when all the joints are new, long enough those "noise" would become less obvious. same thing happen on my dad's alza as well.

hold it for at least 10 seconds if not mistaken, yea, should read the owner's manual instead of asking.... sometimes we like to take short cut, asking instead of reading.

get your suspensions check bro, shaky while you driving 50kph on gentle bend sounds severe, even myvi or iswara doesn't have this sort of issue. Perhaps check your tyre as well, does the tyre bloated? does the tyre deformed?

regarding the timing question, if you wanna drive it for really long time like 10 years, buy it during year end, they will have discount for year end car.... else gotta check out any festive promo or low season discounts then...

sounds like new thing. my alza FL doesn't come with aluminum sticker on the steering rack and i request SC to put in the air cond hose for me, and they did help on that.

If the aluminum sticker is there, then the rubber hose no longer needed, just need to watch out whether the sticker will get peel off in long and does the sticker covering the steering rack properly (especially underneath portion of the steering rack)

fellas, this is a question on spare tyre, do you have the habit of inflating the spare tyre periodically? If yes, do you face problem to inflate the spare tyre? The inflator of the spare tyre is pointed upwards for my alza (meaning i can't even poke the inflator on it due to space constraint). Your's also same problem?

yea, come from the seat. most likely under the seat, same thing happen on my myvi so i presume it's the same common issue on P2 seats

not necessary as it's not listed in the preventive maintenance schedule. however it's good to replace it during 1st service as there might be minute floating particles due to the parts break in abrasion.

average 12km/l is not bad, however it always ties back to your driving condition. highway 12km/l, no good; traffic jam 12km/l, very good; Mixed condition, normal. See the relationship?
