how you can get average per litre? I press press cannot see such selections ler~
*
there's no km/L for Alza, myvi has it. Press the MID display mode to ODO, then press it until the RANGE blinks (i presume your display mode is in RANGE), then press it one more time... huala!, there you go for AVG display, to reset it, press and hold while the AVG is still blinking. It should turn out to be -.- L/100km

oh? o.o I though all alza facelift version have the same meters? That's something new.
*
STD version using the sporty amber meter, while SE & ADV uses the Red white colour scheme.

QUOTE
Anyone using OBD2 for Alza?

i don't recall perodua cars are readable by market OBD2 readers (probably their OBD protocol wasn't pure OBD2 at all), not sure on this FL alza, i'll be glad if it's market OBD2 is usable on Alza FL.

guys, anyone experience whining sound from the engine compartment while cruising at 90kph with 2500rpm? the whining sound comes around 80kph around 2000rpm, fainted, it gets more obvious when approach 90kph at 2500rpm, push it to 100kph and it's not that obvious (probably the tyre noise getting louder). Transmission is AT. Putting the gear at N and rev the engine to 2500rpm and doesn't get any whining noise. Hence i suspect might be something around the gearbox.

Common problem when I first got my car... I got used to it - either ears immuned to it or my sound proofing got rid of it...

It's a nightmarish car ain't it... brows.gif
*
meaning to say since it's common hence it's normal? wow....

i'm quite worried on the "new gb new problem" statement. blink.gif Yours might be the pumping mechanical whining (sort of humming sound even during idle), yea, my alza also have that issue. I'll put more observation on the whining thingy, if it persistent and (maybe) get worse, it's time for a SC visit then. smile.gif

QUOTE(stelamezie @ Jun 20 2014, 01:38 PM)
hmm...whining as in how?
So far mine has no issue yet as I always let the Engine warm up properly early morning until the idle settle down only I start to drive and switch on a/c.

Btw, my sales adviser actually recommended me to always turn the ignition key to "Acc", wait for the electrical system to fully run through the car only start the engine.
*
if you refer to the normal whining i'm mentioning, the sound was something like a low tone humming sound (not a noise), something like aircond compressor on myvi (nguuu........), i believe that belongs to the ATF oil pump and it's normal for pump to have whining sound.

as for the whining at 90kph with 2500rpm, it's a high pitch noise, gentle but you may spot it when there's no other noise i.e no radio, no song, no lorry, no motor beside you. sound something like ngeeeeee...... Maybe my case is isolated case (meaning something went not right during that operating parameter)

I do practice the wait until the airbag & ABS sign went off to start the engine, but i don't stop there to warm up my engine, start the engine, wait the engine drop to normal (usually about 1k+ rpm during cold start, D, go. As usual, i dun push it during warm up.

I dont have that in my alza, but the old nissan has it lately. went to check and they replace the fan belt. no more "ngee....."
*
could be.... maybe get my belt check for tension during 2nd service. new belt might get loosen a bit by time.

QUOTE
my whining alza isn't exactly sound like whining... more like soft whistling... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

yea, mine was some sort of whistling "ngee....." as well. most obvious on 90kph 2500rpm (must fulfill both condition)

QUOTE
If is High pitch tone i think is normal? I had it in my kenari too. Something like airplane "nngeeeeeeee" in certain speed. LOL what ever you call it.

sounds like a normal thing probably.... maybe i get one day to try it on my GF's myvi.

The funny thing is, Perodua SC it self does not understand what I'm saying when I ask them about that High Pitch Sound. LOL
*
catch them into your car, drive it and tell them on this issue... sometimes they might be sort of "macam ini punya". as the high pitch sound should be nothing affecting the functionality of the gb (at least your kenari survived 8 yrs without any breakdown although the high pitch sound is there)

I dont think still under warranty cause I straightly go service outside after 3rd perodua service.
*
you may refer to perodua link shown above, see what you need to replace / change, there should be charges associate with it, take those charges as a reference for your service. outside service shouldn't be more expensive than SC.

Why must he parked his car in a way that I couldn't see the car number plate, 2nd when I ask him leave his name card at my house gate for me to verify later with my Car Sales Adviser, he say nothing and left, 3rd why he was stunned after he said Perodua Original lock no good and I replied him that My sales adviser upgraded my car security to 3rd Party Security, 4th my neighbor saw him walking around my car suspiciously until my dog barked at him only he stand at the gate.

All these small detail made me feels that he is not here to Sale Product.

i can ask my fren for you tomorrow. today i kena my front bumper for the 10th time. the Alza bodykit damm low in the front. Until almost tercabut.
*
agree on the bodykit is quite low. Just dun drive fast when you expecting some ups and downs on the road especially in the shopping mall parking lot.

QUOTE
I think so too.

I know there is a fuse box under the hood.
However, any there another fuse box elsewhere?

And the fuse box under the hood, it was not mentioned
which fuse is for which electrical components.

It makes it difficult to determine which is for which..

check your owners manual, i believe is stated there. if the fuse is OK, then bring it to the SC for a check up.

QUOTE
you know, i notice alza paint very easy to be stain / scratched. I washed my silver alza the other day, noticed there is stone scratches on the hood, tar scratches on the bumper as well as theres a peeled off stone damaged paint on my front skirting.
Then on my alza roof near by the antena, there's a small rusted dot = =

Then just today, when i was driving 80km/h on the way to air port, theres a piece of card box (already crumble by lot of cars), hit my front skirting again. Now there's extra scratches on it = =

I think they are using budget paint coating?

any way tomorrow I be traveling to Penang from KL, will report back on the mileage result tongue.gif as well as the ride result.

there's a possibility for that, else how could you get more features with a lower price tag? it should be some cost cutting somewhere that we not able to see it.
on the rusted dot, take it to SC and see what they say about it, i believe the roof panel is warrantied against rusting.

Agree, well just save money to do a respray after 1 year tongue.gif

Any way, reached penang yesterday.

My commend for the Alza;

Highway drive;
Fuel: Doing great 6 liter per 100km
Comfort: Not too bad (way better then my old Kenari of cause)
Air cond: Good
Speed: Good
Responsiveness: Good
Origina Stocks Tyre: Sucks, noisy, and bouncy (will endure this weakness until next tyre change)
Noise: neutral

Town drive;
Fuel: Not too bad 6.9 - 7.8 Liter per 100km
Comfort: Good
Air cond: Good
Speed: Good
Responsiveness: Good
Tyre: Still sucks
Noise: Okay
Bind spot:  Moderate (depend on personal experience, I drove kenari last time, still learning alza body size lol.)

Today I will make a trip up to Kek Lok Si Mountain, let's see how it handle the small hill and small road drive.
*
take a trip down to balik pulau, enjoy the laksa there, durian as well, you have a better feel on the engine & gb on a wider hilly road. smile.gif

Sure thing, will try that next.

I just back from Penang Batu Feringi to George Town, terrifying road = = bloody uncle driving a mini couple just stop in middle of the road to decide to keep left or right.

My drive from George Town to Batu Ferringi and back to George Town did a heavy blow to my FC, 10.2liter per 100km.
*
seems high FC? either you step hard on the throttle or it's jammed. Hmmm...

QUOTE
The problem is I can't read where this nut head driver from Penang (no offence penang brothers / sisters) wants to go, a minute they are 30% on left lane 70% on right lane, the next minute they sped off to the right lane then made a sharp left turn.

i'm driving in penang. thumbup.gif yea, some road users here are nut head and some times they can do something "out of the box". biggrin.gif
