It's scary... All those dividers going thru cars and impaling its occupants... So far I've read 2 to 3 cases involving Vivas, and this one Alza...

1. Perodua cars have no ESC, prone to losing control especially if it's still on stock crappy Synergy M5 tyres...
2. Something wrong with the construction of our road steel dividers... It gives me the impression that those are like knives arranged along the roads pointing out to kill motorists unlucky enough to ram on them...

Strongly agree on your point 1 which I think the root of the accident, no Esp and lousy tyres easily loss control....

high center of gravity (for alza), crappy tyre, no ESP, driver's attitude (driving alza like ferrari). these are good ingredient for accident. In short, drive sensibly and drive safely, there's a meaning why the speed limit is setup there. over the limit simply exposing yourself towards higher risk of serious accident.

But looking at the accident, is the divider got pierce through the car, i guess you only safe by sitting in a tank when you come to deal with this kind of killer divider...

RIP to the decease.

The new Alza SE and AV variants are equipped with Security Tinted Film by Llumar which usually available in high end car. The spec is as follows :

The security tinted is only for side mirror only. Under JPJ regulation, the front and rear cannot be fitted with security film due to safety in case of accident.
Besides, the smash and grab incident usually happen at the side window.
