How can one tell Panasonic are bad with only experience from that one unit in hotel room? Does that one unit represent the entire Panasonic A/C product? Is that unit maintain properly? had it install properly? and service?
Gas leak can come from many factor, not only the copper pipe alone. Join area, connector between the copper pipe to the compressor / condenser. All this are possible.
I am using Panasonic inverter since 2011 Dec, I have to refill gas after 5+ month of using because the gas was empty, first refill after my installer/contractor find no sign of leak from the piping, we suspect was the condenser leaking which is impossible to fix without replacement, I had it refill FOC of course. And just before the warranty expired the gas empty again, I call up Panasonic for warranty claim, and they send a technician over to check. He confirm everything was find, and found micro leak is on the copper coupling/connection between the outdoor compressor and copper pipe. Kind enough he refill foc for me, and I call up my original installer, he change the coupling/connector. After that no empty gas issue. Is been working find, and I had it service every 1+ year.
So this is Panasonic issue or installation issue?
I also using York, Sharp in my house, all also cold and no problem.
My neighbor using Daikin, just after 6 months install, every time she switch it on the compressor so noisy, I know because is just beside my toilet. After I told her she call up Daikin and came service, found bee hive inside, after clean up till now is ok and silent. So this one is Daikin problem?
