How can one tell Panasonic are bad with only experience from that one unit in hotel room? Does that one unit represent the entire Panasonic A/C product? Is that unit maintain properly? had it install properly? and service?

Gas leak can come from many factor, not only the copper pipe alone. Join area, connector between the copper pipe to the compressor / condenser. All this are possible.

I am using Panasonic inverter since 2011 Dec, I have to refill gas after 5+ month of using because the gas was empty, first refill after my installer/contractor find no sign of leak from the piping, we suspect was the condenser leaking which is impossible to fix without replacement, I had it refill FOC of course. And just before the warranty expired the gas empty again, I call up Panasonic for warranty claim, and they send a technician over to check. He confirm everything was find, and found micro leak is on the copper coupling/connection between the outdoor compressor and copper pipe. Kind enough he refill foc for me, and I call up my original installer, he change the coupling/connector. After that no empty gas issue. Is been working find, and I had it service every 1+ year.

So this is Panasonic issue or installation issue?

I also using York, Sharp in my house, all also cold and no problem.

My neighbor using Daikin, just after 6 months install, every time she switch it on the compressor so noisy, I know because is just beside my toilet. After I told her she call up Daikin and came service, found bee hive inside, after clean up till now is ok and silent. So this one is Daikin problem?

I was agree your statement, but disagree due to all aircon is the same, like York Cooling king dunno how cold is delivered the air and set for 23C only for non-inverter unit, does't meant pana inverter can't do that.

Gas leak can come from many factor, not only the copper pipe alone. Join area, connector between the copper pipe to the compressor / condenser. All this are possible.

IF gas leakage meant totally wont cold at all.. even don't experience person walk that room, in the 1st word will said how came so hot and feel like hot air.

Oops look like they had improved the outdoor condenser size to be changed from smaller 1hp and now already used 2hp size today..but still so so.. mad.gif mad.gif

As said, each time you able to look for excuse to protect conmen, I can still find fact to burst you. They don't charge you but charge the seller. And you need to call them and wait for them to come right? So my logic still stands and you get burst for another time whistling.gif

Air cond that being used commonly usually will be noisier as some are always set to the max.
Installation most of the time will be the case, some are with intention. My air cond even worst, the installer purposely bend the main pipe next to the blower unit. Change the air cond man which is my neighbor and he told me this, replacing that pipe need rm300-500. Will that pipe spoil fast? Nope, it will fail after few times service, this is how some do their dirty work.
To prevent this, always change man till you get the right man.
