You are right in some sense. 3 phase are more on load balancing. If run few air conds together for long period of time, then 3 phase wiring will be better.
Have to know that, when the wire are hotter, the efficiency will drop. But again, how low is low?
Even sometimes the 3 phase wireman only wire it using 1 phase and happen all the time.
For my double storey house, 1st floor are using its independent phase, so when ground floor's ELCB trips, 1st floor still got supply.

i read 1row 10house (3+3+4) is alternating the power source

but my area power tripped at least 2times a year...
and when that happen, the whole taman blackout
seem like i cant enjoy this 3phase benefit sweat.gif
(the whole area is using one 1phase?? hmm.gif )

Usually it is red, yellow, blue phase.
but if it is incoming to the substation tripped, sure all the 3 phases will follow.
But if it is 1 of the phase in the substation trips, then the other 2 will continue to supply power. But so far it never happens.
If TNB willing to invest, whenever 1 of the 3 phases tripped, the other 2 will supply power to it. But such relay system won't be cheap.

Hi. Im looking for a new air conditioner. Im thinking of buying the Panasonic 1HP with inverter. But after salesman recommend me the Carrier 1HP, I started to become choosy..need help/advice please.

Salesman told me:
Panasonic got:
Pros:
-1st 8hours, save 25% energy saving.
-after 8 hours then got 50% energy saving.
Cons:
-the refrigerant elements, if we use finger and push it, it simply deformed
-the after sale service/warranty is outsourced to another contractor, which in other mean, need to pay some and well, u know, leceh a bit..

Carrier got:
Pros:
-cheaper a bit.
-25% energy saving.
-well, this brand established since I was a kid. And they really specialized in Air cond and they do air cond only.
-after sale service/warranty by themselves.
Cons:
He didnt say anything bout cons.

My company is using. Carrier are more on company usage rather than home usage.
This is what I see.

My house has really old window-mounted airconds that I intend to replace.

Are the aircond installation contractors able to remove them when they install the new (split) airconds?

not an expert, but inverter according to this thread...
inverter can save electricity by constant (low power) cooling,
non-inverter frequent start stop cooling will use more electricity

there r certain condition for inverter to save electric
1) temperature hv to be in 25°C above,
below 25°C... ur aircon is working full power, same as non-inverter

2) must b in confined small room,
living room air can leak and aircon have to use full power

3) must use more than 5hours,
low power cooling benefit from longer duration

They sure can remove it, but it will leave a big hole on your window, which you need to "patch up", which generally they may not able to do it.

Where you stay? If you are in KL, I got rm600 to sell in Perlis, Cash and carry.
Such question should not be asked as different location, different price, you may have cheaper price in shop A, but they charge higher on installation fee.

Thanks.

I have no idea where to start looking for someone who can do this patching up. Any keywords to start?

Those contractor doing renovation one.
Basically you patch up with a window.

Alternatively, just buy a plywood, paint it and nail it as cheaper version one.

i need expert advice on these.

Contractor told me that if i want to install Inverter Aircond i need to re-hack the piping.

What if, i install this model Panasonic KC18/ KC24, and remain current original piping?
