i dont want the upstairs area to be cool either.just afraid that unconfined area will make the living and dining hall where i will put my unit harder to cool.true, proper renovation planning is a must.my living and dining hall is connected.can see attached layout.

Look at your layout plan, maybe you can consider to install 1.5x 2 or budget for 1.5hp on living and dinning area close to dry kitchen for 1hp.

From 1 to 1.5hp both area same cooper pipe size.

Hi guys,

Need recommendation from you guys. Planning to get a 2.5 hp aircond for master bedroom. The room is quite huge. Almost 300 square feet.

Short listed 2 units , which one should I go for ?

1) Panasonic inverter econavi CSS-24PKH - 2.5hp
2) Mitsubishi inverter MSY-GF24VA - 2.5hp

Aircond will be on at temp of 24-25 C every night for 10 hours.

Is 2.5hp aircond too much for a 300 square feet room? Or should I settle for a 2hp aircond.

Thanks!

Used a single unit or 2 units an switch on same time.

A) Single unit for bigger horsepower can be easily shot up more large airflow surface and more expansive stuff for what you paid for it.
Gas/water Pipes was go for single only.
Maintenance wise single discharge pipe for empty out take shorter time, even self-DIY clean out for short while only.
Yerly maintenance more cheap than used 2 blower at same time.

B) 2 units of indoor blower maybe look more nicer, but comes to maintenace wise, take more longer time to empty dust else for 2 units.
When a single unit water pipes dripping should empty for 2 units a same time.
Power consumption would be used more than 1 unit of bigger HP at lower input watt just 1830w only, for 2x1.5hp input watt was 1030x2 = 2060W.
The advantage to save up from switch on either one unit only.
And also ME model from 2.5hp and below does not built-in left and right auto swing and wide n long airflow.

C) Try to quote with aircon installer for single 2.5hp more expansive or take 2 units 1.5hp x are cheaper.

2.5hp ME inverter you can consider to go.
Cause I had try before for my living room switch on 24 hours still keep cooling.

Can consider panasonic ceiling inverter 2.0 or 2.5hp more efficient on everywhere has cooling.

I guess your room has anythinge like wardrobe space.
If really free space maybe just consider for wall mounted type.

Hi guy, could you all advice me on how much hp ac that I would need to install in my apartment.

My living area is 273sqft attach with kitchen area which is 60sqft, total 333sqft. I read about the need to add in more hp if the ac is install in a kitchen. Is that necessary?

And for a room of 129 sqft is 1hp enough?

thanks.

The hose and cable can run on top of the ceiling, just need to plan. Without plaster ceiling actually better.

yes,it can go through top of the ceiling but my developer strictly mentioned no hacking of the top slab or else face penalty.sigh.that's why cannot install it at car porch wall.plus my porch wall's windows are "connected" to the ceiling.no gap left at all.stupid design. mad.gif

York when new is good, once going to 1-3 yrs later of the parts and outdoor noise really louded to disturb your neighbour them for sleepy time.

Mitsubishi electric at least is imported unit from Thailand then the parts can be more durable than York for local used only, anyway ME easy clean is the most best part for DIY self maintenance to save more cost of long runs

Hi there,

I want to install a 1.0 HP Panasonic aircond to my dining area (open area). Will turn the a/c on during dinner time (30mins-1hour) only, because there is no area to hook a ceiling fan.

I'm in a dilemma on whether to choose a non-inverter unit (cs-pc9qkh ~RM1.1K) or an inverter unit (css-10pkh ~RM1,439). Can any sifu tell me if it's wise to choose an inverter unit in this situation?

Thanks!

Anyway if you to pickup panasonic non inverter, just top up a bit and go for deluxe model for save the cooling time and energy else.

PC model is quote basic and not suitable for bigger area.

If you are installing a new piping and hacking just get the inverter. You might use it more than you plan to. The inverter really saves a lot on electricity in the long run.
