thinking of doing some different cable besides old canare i use.

what source you using?
do let me know which sound card pls.
some soundcard use RCA plugs as coaxial output. while some use standard 3.5mm mono mini plug as coaxial output. =)

shall got no problems to built it.

Price Reference.
As i received many PM regarding my cable price, the list above will be use as price reference. and the price might actually vary as this is old price, how ever the price will fluctuate around RM 5-RM 10 +/-
Price above are most "economic" one. note that the price of above are actually high because of the plugs. so adding up cables doesn't really increase a lot of the cost. so if possible. do take a little bit longer, then you may easier shift your equipment around.

At this moment, i still in sarawak, settle somethings for my further studies. i will only back to KL by this middle of MAY.
if you can wait, you may post up your name and what cable you wish to have over here. priority will be given to those who posted their name first.

If you cannot wait, there's another excellent DIYer of cable, EFN. you may try to contact him as he has easier access to cable parts during this time.

yes pals. i can still make that.
however, i as my post above mentioned. the price might vary for RM 5-10 due to the plugs price were increased. but
i can see that EMU0404 cable won't increase more, max RM 2-5.
and, i have to wait until i go back to KL baru can make it.
so i will put your name under the list.

by the way, the stereo female u want is 1/4" or 1/8"
1/4" is big 6.5mm stereo plug
1/8" is small walkman 3.5mm stereo plug

i will PM u for the same answer too.

1) My cable all are solder type.
2) Coaxial cable usually prefer longer than 1.5M, so i will often make it 2 meter.
3) sorry that's a trade secret for the cable used in extreme RCA-RCA. it suitable to use for connecting CDP / external DAC to amp. performance is better than Canare, that's why i name it Extreme. it's best sounding cable i can made now.
infact 4E6S is mic cable. however, due to it's superior quality VS price performance ratio. ppl often get it as interconnects.
while the different between this mic cable and proper canare interconnect cable isn't that huge. infact, very small different.


for component. what i wanna make clear is, component video won't really shows improvement if you upgrade ur cable. you can use RM 8 component cable, and u will get same quality as canare. i tested that.
so if you don't have special reason to use nice component video cable, skip it. (tested on philips DVD player + Sony wega 29" flat , 100Mhz)
usually people will ask me do cable if they need it really long for video. else if you taking for normal length, my advice is not to waste money =) as it will be very expensive. or of course, u can choose to buy it if you want better "outlook" cable which make ur systems looks more professional, or the cable more durable than usual type of cable.
