Forumer you are complaining against: mirrorstore

Item being bought: Powerbank YB-651

Date of transaction: 28th September 2013

Details of the complaint :

1) Purchased a Powerbank YB-651 from seller on 27th September 2013 and received on 28th September 2013. Oh yes, very efficient transaction.
2) Noticed one of the port on the powerbank is faulty and immediately ask the seller how to get replacement.
3) He mentioned to me to send back to his shop for warranty claim. Yes, he stated in his thread that it is 1 TO 1 EXCHANGE with T&C applied but he did not further explain on the T&C.
4) Decided to post it back to him on 7th October and even told him to inform me if the faulty unit arrive safely.
5) From 9th October until 21st October, I did not receive any single update from him on my warranty claim status.
6) On 23rd October, he told me that the replacement unit will be done by the China side instead of from the him directly.
7) So I gave him more time to work on my case but till date all I get for answer is the China side haven't send the replacement unit thus could not give me a new unit. I did offer if he could provide me a new unit directly or just refund the amount to me.
8) It's been 2 months dragging and till date I don't have a date on when I can get my replacement unit from him.
9) And yes, I did called to the shop and made a fuss because I could not get a proper explanation on my case dragging so long. And I bought from him based on the positive review from other forumers but little do I know is the warranty part is such a let down.

So clearly he stated that 1 to 1 exchange in his thread but what I got from him is more like RMA process.

Hi bro, im in the same boat..
Send back the faulty powerbank on Oct 1. Until now, still dont get the replacement set.

I asked bout the 1 to 1 exchange, answered by seller ;

He indeed have stock in hand but what matters him is just business. Before sales, service is excellent. After sales, very poor service.

I already send the replacement set to China and when they send me the replacement set I'll send it back to them. In the mid of it there is absolutely nothing I could do.

I can choose to bug them everyday.

But it won't change anything. They already say maybe we'll send out by December.

Just for your info I ordered yb659 since October and now still got no stock so who am I to complain.

I did my part and if that is not enough and moderater think I can do better please advise. But to fork out my own unit and then receive a replacement set without box is not possible. Customer who ask hoe the warranty works I also got explain to them er will help you send to China and when they send us the replacement set we will send it back to you.

If you think i'm scamming then there is nothing I could say because I'd did my part and there is no reason for me getting the blame of China yoobao didn't do their part.

And you can ask other yoobao seller. I've seen customer complain on their thread as well whole 2 months still haven't get the replacement set. The seller has a name of ping or something. Only the seller themselves know we already did our part. Customerwants sspoil means change. There is procedures for everything. If we can claim fast then we wouldn't hold them.

You got it wrong. One to One exchange means if it's spoil and under warranty will exchange a new one for you. Not bring to repair and give you a recon set.

One to One exchange on the spot means like you say.

I'm doing a business and have do whatever I could to satisfy my customer.

I'd stated there one to one exchange. It means we will exchange a brand new unit if it's spill but there is procedure .

The margin is so little and the replacement set comes with no box so we got no choicebut to wait for the replacement St arrive.

Just imagine if we fork out new unit to ecru customer who has problem.

How can we sell the replacement set without the box.

And how if it's not under warranty as it has spilled with water or whatsoever.

So for the business to run smoothly I've to follow the procedure and you can look at my feedback. Whatever which is under my capability I'll do my best. But you can't blame me for the delay from China side.

That is all I have to say about this dispute. I have not scam or lie. Just that customer couldn't wait for the replacement set to arrive which there is nothing I could do to speed up the process.

i dont understand wat u said ... okay , if u need ur customer to wait 1month for the new set , its not 1-1 exchange ... its normal RMA process ...

Rma is rma . What is rma has to do with this.

Most electronic device warranty is bring to repair and return which is consider as you will need rma . But yoobao will not repair your goods it will exchange a new one for you which is also require the procedure but no rma is involved in the process.

If your drink is not good we will exchange a new one for you.
Still have to go to kitchen and do your drink right ? The process is still there you see ?

If you really don't understand I also won't explain further as this is the best I could do. If you think 1 to 1 exchange means change a brand new on the spot then you definitely have no business experience as you do not know there are many risk of lose which could occur.

Your feedback is all about first purchase. No doubt your response to any buyer is fast but the main topic here is the warranty claim.

What you wrote in your thread is under your responsibility, not Yoobao. So the consumers is dealing with you, not Yoobao. You are misleading the consumers.

Coming from a 'no-experience' user...from what I understand

One-to-one exchange... is EXCHANGING.. not repairing...

when a drink is bad.. u go to your kitchen, make a new one, and bring it back to the customer...
when a product is bad... u go to your store, take a new one, and bring it back to the customer...

one to one exchange is between you and your customer.. not with your supplier..

That mean you use buffer stock or you replaced a new boxed set with user
If you can't deliver what you promised than don't promised
You totally lose all your credibility over this matter

It seems you're the one who dont get what 1-1 exchange means. In terms of biz experience, i've worked in a computer shop before, is that enough?

If u insist that 1-to-1 exchange means waiting 2-3 months from china stock, then pls write this farking thing CLEARLY in your selling page T&C. Write there, "in case of spoil or manufacuring defect, you will get new replacement from china, not from myself". That would satisfy everybody.

Exactly what I'm trying to imply in the PM conversation. But all he can reply to me is China did not provide any specific date or whatsoever. Which means I have to wait even if it only arrives in 2014.

And according to him, for a consumer to get status update from the seller is such a wrong act because it is called disturbance and calling the consumer kiasu. From what I can see at the date of my PM to him is each of the PM is sent few days in between. Not everyday.
