Hi all,

I am getting my car soon. I am looking at tinting 3M's crystaline series. Anyone here has any experience with it?

I know the tint affects Smart - Tag in a way but what about GPS signal? This is my main concern

Go for Vkool if you have budget. New car worth to invest.

My G30 is using Crystaline, almost 2 years now. It’s been really good. For Smart Tag, they cut a nice hole for it.

Hi Bro,

If you going to wrap your G30, you can consider the wrap film also. Special color and faded resistance. See below Matt Krypton Green color

Hi I am from Klang valley, and I am expecting new Axia. Any recommendations for tint with budget around 1K? It seems Hamel doing quite a good job with acceptable price?

Bro, if you do it on your own, this price can do for medium size sedan with very good quality film. I don’t know how much installation fee others charge. PM me for the pricing if you interesting. Confirm made in German film.

This DIY was difficult, some members here actually give me a very good example n suggestion.

It just like renovate our house, we can buy the tile our own and hire Sifu to paste it. Sounds possible, I know some others country have this type of service. By they way, which part you from?

Yup, this was headache problem. Film quality still able to settle, but workmanship is challenging. That’s why the cost 30 to 40% lower.

Actually if for DIYer this should be fine for them😀

I've only used VKool and I have to say it serves me well for 10+ years.

Is there any alternative brand today that is as good? Or more innovative brands?

I don't need security btw, parang better than security film tongue.gif

Agree with you. All my cars use V-Kool Elite since day one. More than 10 years, as good as new. No peeling, no bubbling, etc. thumbsup.gif

Modern GPS antenna should work, my Mi 9 SE work well in my V-Kool Elite tinted car. Old GPS antenna will have some trouble locking to the satellite signals.

As for Smart Tag, need to slow down a bit to let the reader communicate with the tag. Too much IR blocking whistling.gif
