Hi, for the IRR, did they mention the reject percentage was on which waveform length? Paper data not able to tell how good the film, please go for real test.

For the tinted film, need consider VLT, film itself absorption, internal and external rejection from the film self absorption and so on. Is very complicated methodology to use to define the film quality via paper value. It do affect from your car window thickness and so on.

The simple way was test under heat box. Good film will not be cheap. But cheap film does not mean it can’t use.

If you very particular about the film can protect from skin cancer, market do have, but no cheap.

Personally think it still have to balance on the Budget. Good luck to you bro. If you at JB, come and visit, will share more info with you, not force buying😅.

sometime u can get cheap tint with good rate IRR (90-95% IRR) and verified with the 3M Meter.
problem with cheap tint, it degrate too fast, 1 year can drop to 80% IRR, 2nd year to 65% IRR. The degradation is not covered on warranty

Bro, you are experience👍🏻. I not sure the 3M meter, normally and usual brand was linsheng, but the meter was not accurate. I’m planning to invest on EDTM meter, which was most value and closer to professional measurement method. Professional measurement easily cost RM50k!

This EDTM cost about RM4k. Is cover full range of IR measurement. I’m serious about my business. I will invest this EDTM, its performance almost match the professional tool😬

https://www.edtm.com/index.php/ss2450-solar-spectrum-meter

@barca96 - good tinted can last for 10 years, normal once maybe can last for 5 years, cheaper maybe 3 years, so is about the ROI. Btw, what type of car you going to tint? Car size also will affect the price.

Bro, True also😅, last round I do offer 1.5k for Toyota Prius C. The guys blame me for 3 months😥 Cz he said expensive. Luckily end up he happy with the quality of the film. Cause he have another car to compare😬.

Not compare don’t know. Seriously nowsaday after I install this tinted on my car, aircon air always at level1, not need blown too high. Maybe can save petrol. Now one full tank can run 700 to 750km, 70% highway, 30% city. Not anyhow ramp, speed maintain around 90 to 120 on highway.

There are few new tint brand with a degradation warranty. Can we as customer get good backup from this or there are plenty of T&C?

Currently on Wingard Royale which was installed 5 years ago, and it seem the tint still work great on high noon time. Was considering to continue the same brand for a new car or might as well try new brand but prefer without any issues of smart tag + remote gate

The tricky part was, in order to past JPK, windscreen have to be clear and can anti hot.

The brand i use was not issues for the smart tag signal, anti hot good with VLT at 75%. If you at JB, come and try my brand for your windscreen. Bruxsafol.

About warranty, seldom people can give 5 years, normally a years to 3 years for any color change.

For the IRR, TSER degrade, how they tell you if not equips with good measurement meter?😬

I've only used VKool and I have to say it serves me well for 10+ years.

Is there any alternative brand today that is as good? Or more innovative brands?

I don't need security btw, parang better than security film tongue.gif

Bro, Vkool was a very best tinted film, but price too expensive. My supplier told me, his tinted film quality can beat the 2nd grade of Vkool film. That’s why he dare to laser print this homologation at his tinted film for quality assurance.

FYI, that is SOLAR GARD and their LX Series is comparable with V-Kool high end series with 7 years warranty.
You can have both combination as both brand are under one roof

Hi Bro,

Not to anti Vkool, is just some explanation for what is IR and how it calculate. Vkool is good film. Just the price was expensive.

I agree with you that V-Kool Price are premium (above 2k++ high grade)
because good comparison just like BMW vs Honda, Dyson vs Midea

If you want to bullet proof film, the window might now able to wind down. But bullet proof was to protect so window must be always up right😅

That time my friend ask American to test, but AK47 bullet still can punch in very close distance. But for shot gun, is bullet proof. Not check for the film. Is not typical use.

Bear in mind, there is not such thing as BULLET PROOF WINDOW FILM
Safety film in the market only provide SHATTERED RESISTANT and not even SHATTERED PROOF
Please do not be fool by any marketing video. Get yourself a good heat resistant film is most sustainable investment for yourself and car interior

Hi all,

I am getting my car soon. I am looking at tinting 3M's crystaline series. Anyone here has any experience with it?

I know the tint affects Smart - Tag in a way but what about GPS signal? This is my main concern
