QUOTE(I'm V-Kool @ Sep 14 2017, 01:01 AM) We are required to pay for each test and it is not cheap, therefore most cap ayam cap itik film will die because they cant support the test. End of the day, the extra cost will pass to consumer. Our government is well good in planning the system or law, but end of the day always lack of enforcement. This MS2669 standard rules & regulations are still not clear. How much extra per car will be charged due to MS2669?

Hi, i got this rm400 voucher with my car purchase.the brand is m-pro.now should i use it or don't even bother and go for other brand? I don't have big budget, below 1k would be sweet.i need decent performing tint that's reliable for a few years,as long as it's not terribly bad as tinted yet still hot like no tinted.
is this m-pro brand alright?dont need super fancy tint as my aircond is fairly good and i don't drive too often to spend too much on pieces of plastics.any advice?

QUOTE(stinky @ Sep 15 2017, 07:27 PM) How much extra per car will be charged due to MS2669? Hi, based on current situation, most probably the price will be remained same. The testing report cost should bear by seller side instead of consumer. This new standard was designed to protect consumer for not being cheated in purchasing window film product. Cap ayam brand products are totally out because their films cannot pass the test. Most of the consumer will not study or survey window film info very detail before purchase, I think it can bring most benefit to consumer in long run This post has been edited by Lord Gitsy: Sep 15 2017, 11:31 PM

He said 30% will be spoilt at least. Just wanted a verification. I have been using my tint since I get my car . 2.8 years already. The rear tint has start to have bubbles and visibility is getting bad. Thinking of changing to agard. Budget at most 1k. Just driving a local car. My car is under the sun all the time

HI guys, sorry if this has been posted before. Do security films, being thicker, result in premature wear and tear of power windows? Does thicker translate to better protection? Reason being my previous car's power windows failed one by one after 5 years and I was told it could be due to my window tint. Now shopping around for the new car and seriously baffled by all the choices. Thanks!

Hi guys, newbie here.. what do u suggest for below 1000 budget for whole car? what spec? never actually tint a car before.. last time i remember tinting my car in 2007 on my 1st model saga which only costs around RM150 (cap ayam, faded already).. never send any car to tint since then..
so, is it sufficient to get a decent tint with this kinda budget? if you have a better suggestion, do suggest (brand, budget & product) since im pretty noob in this section.. (budget can stretch up to 1.5-2k) Thx sifus!
- for coupe audi tt

Personally, if its from LYN garage, where these sellers had been here for long time and been scrutinize by LYN members...they should be fine. cannycool is one of the famous one. As I said, since there are warranty, I wont worry too much. Maybe ask price from couple of the them and then decide. Raytech is pretty good as well, review from LYN here.

Darker film has lower heat resistance. This is to compliance the JPJ regulations

Good tint specs is important, but workmanship is even more critical in my opinion. Back in 2014 I went with Raytech as they were Honda panel back then, had some issues too with the workmanship and my windscreen Ultra 70 discolored after 2 years. 2 months ago just bought a new car and wanted the best available tint and decided to give Raytech another go, and unfortunately am disappointed with the workmanship
