QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Aug 1 2017, 12:20 PM) It means comes Jan 2018, all shops must submit their tint to be check and label with 2 barcode. Maybe goverment earn money from here same as SIRIM, Ministry of Health, and now car tint.Tint with these 2D barcode is official and passed spec......if no 2D label, polis and JPJ can disturb you on your tint during road block |

The new MS2669 as I interpret
1) New film with QR code, as long as product certified is consider accepted even if after install the level falls below the acceptance spec. 2) Film with non-QR code, need to pass after film installed onto glass. Even pass before installed is not a pass yet. Judge together film and glass "The report added that only AAA-registered outlets will issue the QR code label – which will be provided for free – for certified products, and these will be available before January. As for existing installations, Liow said that as long as the minimum permissible visible light transmission level (VLT) of an installed film complies with the rules, a motorist will not have to change the tint film on his/her vehicle." http://www.aaatintrac.my/aboutus.php I see some members are Raytech and Llumar (tint auto) Supplier must submit their product to test, just like Sirim. Current inventory will be phase out (source aactintrac link). Sale in-coming. This post has been edited by stinky: Aug 12 2017, 11:57 PM |

QUOTE(Lord Gitsy @ Sep 8 2017, 11:41 PM) Hi bro, thank you for your interest in Raytech products. From our BTU (500) meter testing, the performance of Raytech FX is better than some other brand's top range products. You are welcome to visit our shop to see product demonstration Bro. Saw your other page on raytech. So you issue 2d barcode now?Which of your film can pass JPJ, Puspakom? |

QUOTE(Lord Gitsy @ Sep 11 2017, 11:31 PM) Hi bro, the new standard (MS 2669:2017) will launch in 2018. Now still in processing stage. All of Raytech products are certified products and will be issued with AAA QR codes stickers. We will announce here once the new policy has launched Ok. I'm still waiting for it to launch. Else if install now no barcode right, sure need to test with film and glass then sure fail by puspakom. This post has been edited by stinky: Sep 11 2017, 11:37 PM |

QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Sep 13 2017, 05:56 AM) but all the while we cant pass puspakom coz of the glass that comes with it has certain percentage d. How can this new system overcome this problem coz every car glass has diff vlt With barcode, puspakom won't check with meter on film and glass. With barcode, puspakom check on the barcode only which is the film VLT only. So if 2D barcode is pass, means pass. This is my understanding as consumerThis post has been edited by stinky: Sep 13 2017, 09:01 AM |

At least when sell car after 5 years no need to remove tint. |

QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Sep 13 2017, 10:45 AM) that will be great news. But so far i cant seem to find reliable source from the authority. One which says puspakom will pass it I see from MS2669 website. It say, if no 2d barcode will check film and window with meter. With barcode just check barcode (no need meter). So check barcode will say film within the limit sure pass lo....... If you think properly it also make sense. If no barcode, you will say your tint within spec but cannot proof. Then there is no way the Puspakom can meter the tint only and not the window. Meter together window and film sure fail la |

QUOTE(I'm V-Kool @ Sep 14 2017, 01:01 AM) We are required to pay for each test and it is not cheap, therefore most cap ayam cap itik film will die because they cant support the test. End of the day, the extra cost will pass to consumer. How much extra per car will be charged due to MS2669?Our government is well good in planning the system or law, but end of the day always lack of enforcement. This MS2669 standard rules & regulations are still not clear. |

QUOTE(chinteck79 @ Jan 30 2018, 10:58 AM) My dealer cut a 2"x2" hole at the top close to the rear view mirror for me to place the tag when pass thru toll. I cover it with dark visor still can see but not that ugly la. so far better than go slowly at smart tag lane. Do you have photo of the hole?I claim Vkool many years ago at their HQ in SS19, PJ. Ecotint also same claim at their HQ in USJ |
