1. Is there any tint you'd recommend but comply with JPJ requirement?
- This is very hard, the JPJ rules is >70% VLT for FWS, >50% all side and BWS

2. Is dark tint better than silver tint based on my requirement to block the view from outside?
- No, reflective tint with VLT 50% might be able to achieve your requirement but honestly ppl still can see you thru
but at least you can create some mirror effect on certain angle. If you want those totally block ppl view from outside, you need at least
20-30% VLT film with high reflectance but that does not comply with regulations

3. Do you have any brand you'd recommend?
- You can try out VKool + Solar Gard Safety Series

4. And my car is considered not a new car, will there be any difficulties in tinting?!
- This not an issue as we will remove and clean your windows before put up brand new tint.

i'm getting a new vios soon, and the salesperson recommend me to do tinting with 3m.

1) titanium 5mil black/green/gold (Solar and Safety), RM700 after discount

2) arctic black/green/gold (solar only), rm600 after discount

infra red - 66%
uv - 99%
visible light - 50%
tser - 66%

5 years warranty.

is it worth it? or there are other better specs?

is this the 3m crystalline version? I heard there are issues with smart tag usage... Most people here go for Raytech I think. but I tinted with TintShop..

That sounds good, but how to identify reflective film?

How long it takes to clean the oily windows? I was been told that the process could take more than 10 hours as certain cleaning product will be applied and allow it to dry.

Really not recommend for 2 layer tint for front windscreen. Will cause blur vision.

Not recommended, it will cause blur vision.
Remember the glass is laminated.

I have my car tinted with huperoptic, supposely i requested c50 (4mil) for side but ends up they give me c40+ ??? 6mm transparent film on top of it for security.

when i ask what film they use fpr the transparent film, they can't answer pula.. hmm
is it common practice to put a security film on a solar flim??

My family Honda City get tinted with 3M Crystaline 70 on front & back windscreen,Nano 70 on all 4 windows
Feel like car air cond suddenly get boosted
Interestingly,cannot wind down windows for 3 days & demister on back windscreen cannot be turned on for 2 weeks to allow glue to settle
Very satisfied with the price & the job done by the shop(3M Ampang)
Not to mention ladyboss is attractive & friendly (Bonus)
