It didnt go off as long as the key inserted (without engine on).

Will escalate this to SC for check up..
*
It's ECU initializing. ECU does it's own BIET ( built in electronic test). The ECU can shutdown if critical components malfunction. It can even be a loss of feedback signal form crytical sensor. Lucky you are able to start, it may be an impending failure. Better have it fixed cos some instances it may prevent engine start.

So far now 3 of us having this problem.. The rest have u check your car?

Scared later go SC they said 'this one normal boss'..
*
Checked my car this morning. This what took place.

As soon as I turn key on ( not start ) the sound starts. It goes on for 15sec and stops with a click. This indicates ECU BIET is satisfactory and complete. Checked it twice, same result.

A continuous sound indicates BIET incomplete.

2years ago I test drove the 408THP when it was introduced. I actually was keen on the NA,but that day only THP test car was available. Ok I thought no harm in testing it. That test run completely changed my opinion. Changed my mind to the THP for following reasons:

Very precise and accurate feedback from the steering. This is not my 1st car, the feedback is at another level compared to even other conti's I've owned previously.
Turbo power is simply addictive. Effortless and smooth
Silky smooth 6spd gb.
$20K extra( price diff between NA & THP ) is a steel for what you get.
My rough estimate to configure a 4spd NA to 6spd turbo and additional safety features which comes on the car is $70K min.

IMO, if you can afford the extra $20K,get the THP.

Btw,bro sbd has upgraded to 508 SW. He is selling his 408t. The car is very low mileage and very good shape. Same batch as mine and we have not had a single problem.

Thanks bros..and maybe sistas..

Like how you experienced it.. the acceleration on turbo is really the plus point thr.. no doubt it is 1 naughty lion..

I saw somewhr in 1 of the websites.... that 60k service could reach rm3k.. is it true?

The cost is reduced now, haven't got the exact figure. Cost reduction due to:
1) Sourcing ATF direct from manufacturer
2) Rescheduling certain component change

Any 408 owner do soundproof to their car? How about autofoam?

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...548&hl=autofoam
*
Did a fair bit of research on this during early days. To get full advantage of this product, you need to make changes to suspension setup. Total cost can run up to $7-$8K. IMO not worth the money!

This product works very well on soft chassis, Pugs chassis is more rigid.

thanks for your opinion Pugbunny & SKYjack. How about 3M door seal rubber? will that helps in reducing noise?
*
I'm actually quite surprised you are concerned about noise. Noise and vibration on our Pug is considered low. However 3M door seals will help reduce noise.

that's not the main purpose of the door seals, they are meant to reduce wind noise  brows.gif

This is another surprise. I regularly do 150kmh,have not heard any wind noise, only that lovely purr from my big cat!

you need to clear your mine a bit  laugh.gif

Well I do think my car is very good. Over the 2years every problem/issue that was reported, I checked my car and found no issue. Today for your sake and to clear my mind,I offed my radio and checked for wind noise at 150kmh. Have to agree there was a slight hiss, but really nothing to complain or don't even think it's an issue. In fact there was more tyre noise than wind noise, but then with 2years, my tyres are up on age and wear!

Infact hardly hear both noise as I always have the radio on at moderate volume, 3 bars on the volume scale.

I have a problem of greenish liquid coming out somewhere around the turbo part today after coming back from KT-KL-K.Kangsar-Betong-K.Tganu trip. 1600km was done with in 4 days[attachmentid=3955853][attachmentid=3955853][attachmentid=3955854]

It's just coolant, probably a bit excess that is seeping out, especially since you changed it. Wipe it off with a dry cloth and monitor. If there is contentious outflow, see SC.

Mine last time 20k also got brake noise problem. SC told me to cuci my rim and tayar (due to dust).. So I did but the sound still there..

SC told us 'normal' because don't want us to claim warranty of 20k for brake? Do they have warranty for brake?

Anyway, mine clocked at 42k and already changed my brake pad.. now no more annoying sound. Bought TRW brake pad for 2.0NA at Euromotive Auto Parts. Total damage RM180/set. SC quoted me RM616 at glenmarie and RM660 at geotauto.

A bit spongy i must say but overall performance quite same with stock brake pad..

For NA and Turbo, the design of brake pad a bit different (NA 283mm disc & Turbo 302mm disc) and the price too.. Don't buy the wrong one ok..

From the box, 408NA sharing the same brake pad for 307 and citroen xsara picasso 2.0.
Bro, I'm using the old version (based from stock brake pad). Not sure can use the new version or not..

Happen to surf mudah, motortrader site. I'm totally surprise that no one is selling 408 turbo as 2nd hand car.  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif This could mean everyone are happy owners?
*
Are you wanting one? It is indeed that owners are happy with their cars. I know there was one used 408t,owner upgraded to 508 SW. Looks like that is sold too. It's good to note this model is sort after. I'm looking to change to new model next year!

EP6CDTM is proving reliable and good to see it come on more Pugs. This engine is fitted on the latest 3008 and I am told the latest 308 will also come with this engine.

The problem is with Apple OS. It is not friendly with non Apple OS,a bit sombong! Android works perfectly with Peugeot Bluetooth. Even my wife's age old Nokia auto connects.
