QUOTE(acefreakz @ Jan 29 2014, 09:54 AM) yo sifu-sifu, just got myself a DA(china brand shine mate ERO 600). My steps are compunding(meg ult compound) with cutting pad > polish(meg ult polish) with polish pad > polish with finishing pad. Well i noticed the swirls are reduced dramatically lol. Any tips to produce a swirl-free surface? btw bro Quazacolt lol happy detailing Hi bro may I ask where you purchase your Shine Mate ERO 600 dual action polisher? Can tell price?

QUOTE(scoutfai @ Feb 3 2014, 08:35 PM) Hi there, thanks for the greeting. I have been surfing here for many years but I am always a silence reader. Now CNY too free to surface a few replies. Agree with your concern but I think no need over worry. People who sends to road side wash using unknown cap ayam tire dressing also do not complain any cracking I do not think people like us who use established brand product will get our ass kicked faster than them. it depends on the usage of the car, imo, ppl normally change tyre in 2 yrs time, am guessing they won't have the chance to notice aging/cracking issue. me for example, using tyre of threadwear of 600(imagine how long until i ned to change lol, exclude the aging factor), certainly hope to retain the tyre condition until the threads ended. just my $0.02

QUOTE(kww @ Feb 3 2014, 06:37 AM) I have tried before, not very impresive. There are a lot other APC that can do the job, cheaper and much more flexible. What are you using now for tar remover?? Seeking for budget and effective one... QUOTE(KrisMas @ Feb 3 2014, 08:44 AM) You want to remove tar or bug? Tar. mostly found in my car skirting..

I don't have/use a dedicated tar remover - I tend to use any solvent that are paint-safe. These solvent works extremely well in dissolving tar (better than most over-the-counter tar remover) and, as long as you don't let it dry on paint, they're very mild solvent and safe for cars' paint. If you want a dedicated one, I've tested Osren's and Meguiars and they're quite decent (though not so cost-effective).

QUOTE(nj922 @ Feb 4 2014, 09:02 PM) How often should we polish the car leather seat? Ideally, a good practice is to wipe/clean them with a damp cloth as often as you wash the car and apply some leather dressing monthly or bi-monthly. Unfortunately, time is often not on our side and myself, I can only afford the extra time to do that maybe once a month (cleaning) and dressing between 3 ~ 4 months. My waja seats are still in good condition after 5 years. QUOTE(Jackson828 @ Feb 4 2014, 10:57 PM) if car already did coating, i should using meguiars goldclass wash or nxt shampoo or ultimate wash n wax shampoo? Based on the few 'proper' coatings that I've tried, any shampoo would do (as long as they're from a reliable brand la). But best is to get something strong but without much wax/sealant/glossifier/etc. From the option you stated, I'd say either Gold Class or NXT.
