Don't know much about Tribos....sorry. Most coating aren't readily available for DIY purchase/use so you,d be better off looking for some feedback from fellow mazda owners who took the package. But at that price/budget, the other better known (and trusted by detailers) brands would be from Gzox, Opticoat, Sonax & 22ple. Mind you, if you're serious about it, just make sure you read and understood the terms and conditions of the warranties and also what you'd need to do (normally a strict maintenance schedule) in order not to void it. After a little reading up on Tribos website, personally, I'm not convinced. But then, that's just my educated guess so don't take my word for it.

I agree with bro KrisMas on it.

My friend got the Tribos on his new Mazda 6 (company car), and he was damn not satisfied. Coating aside, the workmanship is poor, I am not even trying to find hologram, cause I already see massive swirls even not under the sun, as he park in his house under roof. And my friend is one that will ONR his car weekly. And now it is about 7 months, he is asking me for Opti Coat already, but I asked him to go claim his warranty as he paid so much for this. His alternate car Civic Opti Coated for 3 years is still beading like how it should.

There are plenty of alternatives out there.

Tribos is available in Mazda and Honda's, it seems like something the sales people is pushing hard for.

But looking at the price, to me I would say a bit expensive. What more it is a new car...

Anyway, I saw in garage sales there is a detailer doing RM1500 for new car.

Get the product & DIY or DIT. Even inclusive shipment its still cheaper than sending outside.

Yes you MAY get the 'result' for what you paid BUT you never know how much the 'process' e.g how much paint been cut to achieve result.

Do you think its 'important' to know ?

Ah Tribos, I personally washed a new CX5 that has this coating on, plus other models like the 3 and 6.
The result on Tribos coated Mazda cars have been generally poor. Most likely due to poor workmanship since I have seen swirls, dirt trails trapped under the coating. Also, the water behavior on the car is weird, just feels like a dying wax haha!
What's really bad is the way customers are advised just to use water to wash the car, which is a sin to me!
So no, I don't recommend them smile.gif

Actually the part to use ONLY water to wash your car, I have heard of other shop advising the same too.

I wonder how the coating is like, that it only need water to clean...
