Am looking to get clay bar cause the car surface (especially lower part) when glides through with hand can feel grainy...for a 6 months old car
Any good clay bar to recommend? Am looking at Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit, kinda mahal ;-p |

I have a car that is park outdoor most of the time. I do wash it regularly , but the window and door rubber trims is drying and hardening. I tried dressing it with normal silicon spray that found at supermarket, but it didn't last long. Is there a better product or solution you know? Thanks.

There might be....but unfortunately not readily available here....1z Einzatt Gummy Pfledge (not sure if i spelled it correctly). I think Swissvax has something also but can't remember what.QUOTE(FlamingASSH0LE @ Dec 15 2013, 09:52 AM) Polish is toremove defects and wax is to protect.Like MrQ said, those black spots might be tar...try a tar remover or petrol/diesel.... Any place recommended to fix it at a cheap price? That looks like an expensive 'dent' to repair....all I can say is good luck... |

Currently I'm using Meguiars White Wax (carnauba wax). I just waxed my car last Sunday. 2 days later, on Tuesday, it was a very heavy downpour at the place I park my car when I work. Then when I went to collect my car, I noticed that there are a lot of dark water lines washed down my whole car. It seems the wax is not working well in protection at all. Those looks like the wax melted and mixed with dirt from the rain water.
And today I washed my car. It seems to be those dirt are sticking to my paint. @_@ Washed but cannot help much. After washing, I used Meguiars UQD trying to clean up those stains. Took SO MUCH of effort to clear those dirt marks. I wonder, is the "carnauba wax" can be melted and become even a dirt magnet? Or it is supposed to be melted and washed away, and those dirt marks are due to no more wax protection on my car? |

QUOTE(acefreakz @ Dec 15 2013, 09:07 PM) i didn't go to the DIT, was at home:Few years after engine rebuild, inside still looks sparking clean. I'm glad of using good engine oil lol http://twitpic.com/doro53 Just done sanding the cover. Had to use steel wool to scrub off the sticker label that got fused on to the cover http://twitpic.com/dosd9w |

Have a question to consult all the sifus.
Today I was working on a friend's car - Toyota Corolla. Using Meguair's Ultimate Compound with a hand applicator pad. I tried to remove the swirl marks but I failed to do so even with 4-5 passes. Is it my technique incorrect or the swirl marks are too deep to be polished by hand? (The car has not been polished for like more than 3 years I guess) |
