nice! if i am in V5 now, can i just flash the new V5+ rom directly or dirty flash without factory reset? i dont want to lose my installed apps

I think should be no problem, if you have any Adblock / Xposed Modules that mods the /system partition will need to reapply the mods again.

You can try dirty flash even is not recommend by dev. Make sure backup your Internal Sd and backup apps with Titanium backup.

If dirty flash fail or make your Note II really buggy then you have to do full wipe flash.

indeed, a backup will save a lot of time, will give it a try when V5+ comes in, but headache when flashing to try new rom, lots of things to setup and apps to reinstall back... sweat.gif

but there are a lot of rom with Note 3 + S5 feature like DN3, phoenix, JellyKat, hmm might give a try on jellykat, as sanderz says that he is facing a bit issue with facebook app when posting status on DN3 rom

Because you don't have Note 3.
Note 2 don't have the hardware sensor for it .. Note 3 Neo don't have it too.
The quick toggles from those photos are from Custom rom with Ported some stuffs from Note 3.
but without sensor, it wont work.

I'm still remembered when i used DN3 rom last time (can't recall which version), the smart scroll is working like a charm because i was showing it off to my colleague about that function.

I feel the screen transition speed is faster.
When you do screenshot, the "snapping" is also faster now.
Other than that can't really see any diff.
Come to think of it why do they call it Kitkat with a new version 4.4 if it is so subtle diff from JB 4.3 ??? hmm.gif Just name as JB 4.3.1 lah yawn.gif

It work. but buggy. Your face have to be in bright area and your eye have to be on the right spot to make it really work.

What you see on the surface is largely irrelevant and skinnable.

The differences are under the hood. It is the start of an architectural revolution.

+1 will do so. Just make a Ti backup just in case.

V5+ just a bug fixes only, not completely different base.

I'm on Mr.Luong rom 3.8 Its the most light N3+S5 port rom. I like the gray themes it got.

But will move as soon as DN3 v5+ is available.

BL

BL = BootLoader

Make sure you use a .md5 file and PC Odin, not the mobile one.

I am thinking can we switch between ROM's like flash Malaysia Official ROM or DN3 ROM vice-versa? And once upgrade to 4.4 bootloader there's no way back to older 4.3 or 4.1 right? Just can flash around 4.4 ROM's?

There is a way to dual boot actually. But I never done it before so I not the right person to explain the details.

You can actually do nandroid backup with official Malaysia 4.4.2 with custom recovery so you can go switch between custom.

With ND3 Bootloader.. you still flash can 4.3 rom but not the 4.1.2
